Just seen an advanced screening of the sci-fi thriller MERCY. Chris Pratt is locked in a futuristic electric chair accused of his own wife’s murder. Can he convince the AI judge of his innocence in 90 minutes of REAL TIME? It’s even in 3D!!!! Does Chris’s agent hate him? Black Mirror by TEMU. Avoid.

I really enjoyed the preview screening of RENTAL FAMILY. Brendan Fraser is charming as an out-of-work actor in Japan. He discovers his ability to be the ‘token white guy’ lucrative in the real world ‘acting’ as missing family members via an agency. Thought provoking comedy at its best!

Finally a movie that’s not afraid to ask an important question: What would you do if you were trapped in a luxury swimming pool by a rabid monkey? PRIMATE is a surprisingly gory movie but these actors deserved a wittier script.

I’ve worked on 29 covers this year (13 of them coming out next year), plus a poster for Suspira. I’m so grateful, and here are some of my favorites that I’m allowed to share. I hope next year to take it a bit easier and focus again on my own creator-owned comics. (1/2)
