Nothing says fighting back against Farage quite like giving him everything he wants. Clever strategy by a couple of totally normal and good MPs. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Great time to have just announced a big trade deal with India.

Honouring her memory by bravely capitulating to everything her killer wanted.
Almost no MP actually gives a shit about Jo Cox because they've spent a decade invoking her name to shield themselves from criticism while they spout the rhetoric of her killer.

If the Vatican really wanted to boil some piss and get a good pope at the same time. You know who they'd pick next.

The Greens aren't the answer to what's next for the British left.
Hi, I'm the Green Party completely fucking it. You may remember me from such classics as our co-leader calling everyone leaving Kier Starmer's Labour Party an antisemite or our other co-leader blocking the possibility of a Customs Union with the EU and ensuring a Johnson-led hard Brexit

And all in the service of what? Immiserating the old, the poor, the disabled. Ghouls every last one of them.
👉 NEW — Morgan McSweeney's ‘plot without precedent in Labour history’

By Richard Sanders

A new book chronicles how Labour strategist Morgan McSweeney used ‘any means necessary’ to destroy Corbyn as leader and install Starmer.

People who have to work in service industries should be given free counselling is one of my policy positions.
Having a job that involves having to speak to aggressive clients
17. What experience is actually way more psychologically damaging than people think?

I see pushing labour left once they're in power is going well.
April 22, 2025 at 3:15 PM
They never intended on doing any of these things. And I'm sorry but anyone who believed they did is a rube.
Starmer's Labour have a HUGE majority, yet we are seeing no:
- electoral reform
- media reform
- action to make the BBC properly independent & apolitical
- reversal of NHS outsourcing
- renationalisation of key infrastructure & public services
- clampdown on lobbying
- prosecution of corrupt MPs

Is so heartwarming to see after this week. They want you to think you're alone. Especially our trans brothers and sisters. But you're not.
Thousands show solidarity at #TransRightsAreHumanRights Demo in Parliament Square.

Always amazes me how much of this I see even in stand up. An inherently cringe pastime.
No but I genuinely feel bad for people who are convinced that showing any joy through fun hobbies (especially in public) is cringe

They’re so afraid of embarrassment they’d deny themselves any happiness then try to bully others into doing the same

They're 100% going to call it nationalisation but only nationalise the risk aren't they? www.theguardian.com/business/202...
House of Commons recalled to discuss British Steel nationalisation
Easter recess halted in order to pass bill taking assets into public control, with full nationalisation a possibility

It's a small thing compared to the consequences of the reforms. But remember when we were told one of the reasons he was the best person for the job was how good a rhetorical speaker he was? Guy just has no real argument for any of it beyond "a wizard will make them not poor".
Our analysis showed up to 400,000 people would be pushed into poverty by the Government's proposed disability benefits cuts.

This was put to PM Keir Starmer by @debbieabrahamsmp.bsky.social at today's Liaison Committee.

He said the cuts would 'change behaviour'.

It's almost as if, and hear me out on this, he's a bad businessman who doesn't know what the fuck he's doing.
Elon's involvement in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race cost his candidate around 5% of the vote--even though he spent $25 million dollars on his behalf.

Elon's endorsee ran 5 points behind the other statewide Republican candidate. That's an unbelievably negative return on investment.

Remember when there were a few hours where people were floating Russia having done it? We don't need help setting fire to our infrastructure through negligence.

Dehumanisation is a big part of modern life, whether it's the disabled, trans people, refugees, Palestinians. When you make people unhumans you allow all manner of inhumane actions against then.
from “of course i couldn’t survive on benefits, i have a mortgage to pay,” to “what if i took my child’s pocket money away” there’s a concerted ideological push from Labour to imply those unable to work due to disability are not fully-formed members of society and it’s disgusting

Drop a fight scene you love

Barely a fight. But the revenge scene in Blue Ruin. Man. The tension. The build up. Dwight in the cubicle grappling with what he's about to do. Then the brutality of it.

I think they've massively miscalculated the size and reliability of the "curtain twitcher" vote. The kind of people who see a neighbour who's disabled and assume they're getting thousands a month in benefits.
This is Labour’s poll tax. Its tuition fees. It is - as Iraq was for Blair - the moral stain that will mark Starmer’s government and the party for years to come. Severely disabled people are going to be starved, isolated and degraded. No Labour MP who backs this will be forgiven.

Wes Streeting pops up from behind the screen and says "have you considered that you don't have mental health problems and just need to work more?"
Man goes to the doctor, says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, 'yeah we don't really do anything about that anymore

This has to have been a targeted attack. Which would be in line with the way the IDF targets journalists and aid workers.
No Other Land depicts the horrifying violence Palestinians in the West Bank endure under apartheid.

Yesterday, its co-director Hamdan Ballal was beaten in his home by settlers before being detained by Israeli forces.

People applauded Hamdan. Now they are silent. Free Hamdan.
