Its actually not that surprising. The Game Awards are not that serious and XIV is in a transitional spot but a stupid amount of loud people want it to be a dying game and in a Shadowlands situation and its just not

FF14 being nominated for best ongoing in a year when I have seen its players do very little but constantly complain about a quality dip, with devs even copping to it, while Street Fighter 6 on a total tear not even getting a nod is making my head spin
