poverty is not a moral failing that the poor inflict upon themselves
Meta stock up on news of cuts to the metaverse money hole. How many clever articles were there years ago about what a genius pivot that would be? What do we have to show for it? Any specific software or hardware? Anything? Glasses with a camera? Abandoned VR chat clone?

billionaires want to be seen as experts in all things just by saying they are, they'll never publish any work in any field because that takes effort (they're rich and don't want to do anything hard), then they'll just blame "academia" or whatever for not accepting their half assed tweets as research

it’s either the most direct absurd lie or an admission you are not in control and someone is faking acts as president which one is it sir
O'DONNELL: Why did you pardon Changpeng Zhao?

hey is it weird that 15% of the top Google news results for “Ireland” are English language Israeli pubs whining about the president elect’s position on their war? that’s more even than Irish news results

Trump: I'm not a fan of some of the ships you do. I'm a very aesthetic person and I don't like some of the ships you're doing, aesthetically.

it's quite an admission to say your ethical positions are compromisable if they are unpopular
IMO, the most revealing part is Klein wrestling with the question of where "the line" is (between acceptable and unacceptable politics). Realizing that what he considered past the line is now the GOP mainstream doesn't make him commit harder to fighting it. He wonders if he needs to move the line.
