"Challenge scientific orthodoxy," is a funny way to say "Ensure people die of preventable diseases because he's a mentally-ill eugenicist."
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.
RFK Jr. Says He Instructed CDC to Change Vaccines and Autism Language on Website
In an interview, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cited gaps in vaccine safety research. His critics say he is ignoring a larger point: Vaccines save lives.

Trump: “Zelensky will have to approve the U.S. plan. If he doesn’t like it, he can keep fighting.”

Unbelievable how much he just doesn’t care, a pathetic creature sidelining the fate of a nation.

It gets lost in the shuffle, but the Speaker of the House is someone who, by all rights, should’ve had his career ended a decade ago by a Shreveport TV news investigative team.
Fond memories of that time Mike Johnson was president of a local law school that never opened its doors, in part because it was attached to a Baptist college that was losing its accreditation, and in part because it was always a scam from the start
Mike Johnson -- who is, yes, theoretically a lawyer -- has not had a chance to look at the American Constitution because he's been very busy lately, folks, he just can't see everything, gosh, how is he supposed to know if it's wrong that the president called for the execution of congress members?

Remember how, during Trump’s first impeachment, it became clear there was an entire server full of extremely incriminating calls between Trump and foreign leaders - and Pelosi literally killed efforts to get that server because she preferred a “quick, narrow” impeachment that would be “simple”?
Scoop: Rep. Eugene Vindman knows what Trump said on a 2019 call with the Saudi Crown Prince about Jamal Khashoggi's killing, and his effort to make it public is about to rachet up.

Tomorrow, Vindman will appear alongside Khossoggi's widow to call on Trump to release the transcript

I would add that not moving to impeach (for the insurrection) before leaving for the day on Jan 6 (technically the morning of Jan 7) was a huge blunder.

Donald Trump could have just kept his mouth shut about Jamal Khashoggi.

But to smear a dead journalist, while sitting with the person accused of orchestrating his murder is just vile.

Every time this administration hits rock bottom, a trap door seems to open.

Cretin behavior.

If the President can impose his own taxes and use the proceeds to spend on his own projects, all without Congress, we have a dictatorship not a constitutional republic.
BREAKING: Deputy White House Chief of Staff James Blair said the administration is eyeing ways to give millions of Americans $2,000 dividend checks from tariff revenue without congressional approval, per Bloomberg.

My main takeaway from this book is that these people don't give a single fuck about the constitution. They will use it cynically to benefit themselves but otherwise they're all about their bronze age philosophies. They have no interest in laws, because they have a telephone to god.
Good book. I feel like I finally know what the hell @sharonk.bsky.social is posting about now.
