I was discussing this with a friend and he said it was Carney’s signalling to capital that he will keep Canadian women and international women controlled and 2nd class to uphold their free labour and therefore the wealth of the class he is protecting and that seems plausible.

On page 300 of the budget Mark Carney snuck in a clause that he is now above the law after claiming Canada 🇨🇦 still has the rule of law and CPC, @canadiangreens.bsky.social and @ndp.ca clearly did not read the budget at all prior to passing it.
