It was a year ago today that I unknowingly began reenacting the dancing epidemic of 1518 in my kitchen. I was trying to figure out why I always had to quit regular exercise due to pain. In 5 months, I'll know if my interventions make a difference, or if the Sun still decides.

Some guys are always going to beg, borrow and steal in order to grind axes and pursue the Philosopher's Stone. Protecting the rest of us from them is why constitutions exist. They fundamentally do not believe in human rights.

We had 5 weeks of driver ed classes in the summer, taught by the high school guidance counselor. We mostly watched videos of cars being hit by trains drove around in the parking lot, but each of us was required to drive some distance. Everyone in my car had been driving since age 14.

I love old mushroom nicknames and finding "the Vomiter" on hikes. Mature ones are greenish because they have green spores. These and Destroying Angels have always been reason enough for me to stay away from white ground mushrooms. None of them are that good.
One of the more common cause of mushroom poisoning is from people confusing shaggy ink caps for false parasols (Chlorophyllum molybdites), aka "the Vomiter".

So, uh... maybe stick to store-bought?

This dovetails nicely with my theory that cation channel TRPA1 triggers a malfunction in red color vision, causing some to see auras around other people. My current thinking is that an Alpine TRPA1 variant is likely from Mediterranean Neanderthal DNA.

I would take the USS Silversides.

no, wait... is there a spatula museum? I have a thing for metal spatulas from the '50s and '60s.
If you could do a successful heist of any museum or gallery which would you choose and what would you take

Mom gave me the recorder she used to make audio books and I'm thinking about making tapes like Edgar Casey. Except true, of course.

listened to the Columbia Top 100 for the first time in awhile and many of the top songs are by Yeison Jiménez. I hoped, against evidence, that he had released a new album. He was 34.

he had a premonition - this sort of thing that has sent me spiraling in the past.

I … dreamt that we had died and that we were on the news. And it was the third time I dreamt that. God gave me three signs, and I didn’t understand them, I didn’t get them,” he had said recently.

Ex-footballer and rapper from Puerto Rico, Young Miko, is standing next to Pedro Pascal. I don't know who the other men were, but they were probably famous, too. Young Miko makes art for women.

I survived a replay. I am in love with classic PR music and this album is a masterpiece. I feel like those girls in the front row of a Beatles concert when I listen to it.
He didn't hire historians just for the halftime. Most videos for this album tell the history of PR.

The latest Bad Bunny album is so good that I can't listen to it. Chills, dizzy, feel like my body is disappearing. Kind of like the time I blacked out after taking an unbuffered aspirin. I can't talk about it without crying. This has been going on for a year.

There is no such thing as an alcohol sale in Michigan.
Minimum prices are set by the state.
The best stores advertise "state minimum prices".
A sale on alcohol means that the store normally overcharges.

If I see a party store selling booze on clearance, I buy it up, and I don't even drink.

When I run into these guys, they almost always have Greek, Alpine, or Welsh/Scottish/Irish last names, though there are many exceptions.

I have some bad news about Luigi Mangione.

It happened to her. She saw the light.

"Refiner's fire" is new term to me, but her experience is very similar to mine. She can sing but can't speak. I can dance but can't walk straight. I wonder how she feels about the color red.
Leticia Garcia Tiwari lost her voice to a neurological disorder; doctors said she would need regular injections or surgery to (MAYBE) get it back.

"In that moment," she says, "I turned away from the power and authority of medicalization and jumped naked into the fire with only my faith in God."

The loss of milk culture and general knowledge about how milk works is so sad.
If the government wanted to make raw milk consumers safer, it would make efforts to educate purchasers on safe consumption, like eggs and meat.

Vested interests don't want you to understand.

There are two types of unpasteurized milk in Michigan.

"Fresh milk" from pastured cows is produced with a goal of low bacteria counts. "Raw milk" is intended for pasteurization should never be consumed.

If you want to understand why people buy fresh milk, this is a decent place to start.
