It was a year ago today that I unknowingly began reenacting the dancing epidemic of 1518 in my kitchen. I was trying to figure out why I always had to quit regular exercise due to pain. In 5 months, I'll know if my interventions make a difference, or if the Sun still decides.

if you're thinking "5-12 apply to me, but I can't identify with 1-4", consider that the full experience hasn't hit you yet.
Twelve common signs that a person has "Kundali Syndrome" aka is "having a case of the nerves" aka "has been filled with the love of God" aka "is Mesmerized".

I stopped short of adding "changes name, shaves head, and reinterprets an ancient religion", but there are many such cases.

Neverland boat FB is now fully parasocial. The man is living his dream and people are coming out of the woodwork to offer Christmas at their house and objects that they think he might like. His detractors think it is an unsuccessful boating project when it is in fact a wildly successful art project

going through my social media accounts with an axe. might deactivate my other accounts. It's been so long since I've posted elsewhere that I doubt anyone will notice, but if you know me from a past life, please don't tell the others I'm here.

I like to keep a hook in my hair in case I need to pull one out in public. Always makes it through security.
crochet hook is goated when pulling ur brain out thru ur nose is the vibe

The policies and moderation on this website are so bad that I considered going back to FB where more of my friends are and no I cannot.

If you are not presenting your controversial creativity project with religious and artistic framing, it's like going into battle without a shield or sword.
The first sentence from everyone's lips starts with "you should". The more questions you answer, the more time is spent answering follow-up questions. It's endless. Yet, hate-followers will destroy your project if you tell everyone to shove off.

What I love most about watching the Neverlanding Boat of Dreams is how the public reaction to such projects is always the same. Even if you're a genius with degrees or decades of experience, everyone assumes you're as ignorant as they were 5 minutes ago.

I made butter pecan ice cream instead of dinner, and then, I used the egg whites to test a 14th century recipe, "frytours of milke" from "The Forme of Cury". My version is fusion cooking because I'm serving them with maple syrup.

Yes, this is it. The essence of Neverlanding socials is 1/2 wonks and 1/2 "enlightened" people who recognize this man as one of their own and speak his language.
This pretty much sums up the Facebook group about the homemade houseboat

Inquiring minds want to know if these are the same artifacts that were displayed at the University of Michigan medical school. (The display cases were in a hallway next to the first elevator if you were headed from the hospital cafeteria into the BSRBs.)

Like all good friends, if you're in Michigan and have a free day, I will take you to Detroit and show you The Fist.

I picked this up in the foyer of Abe's Coney Island in Ypsilanti, c. 2001.

I can hardly wait to see the hovercraft version of "Neverlanding - The Houseboat Of Dreams" .
Still thinking about how deeply weird and LONG the rant from the homemade houseboat guy was. Possibly the longest Facebook post I have ever seen.

Dude seems to think he’s gonna continue the journey by traveling his raft-on-barrels houseboat across the ice at a high speed

“Boats like that aren’t made for the open waters of Lake Huron” - Stop right there. Oh yes it was.
They pulled the homemade houseboat Neverlanding out of the water btw, sounds like it’s out til spring. Got up to Port Austin at the tip of the Thumb and the sheriff made him stop.

Genuinely glad somebody did, the Great Lakes this time of year are no joke

I love this study because it discusses half of extraordinary belief - cultural interpretation. My own "extraordinary belief" is that sense of self, invisibility war meditations, trance dancing, and love at first sight have electromagnetic origins and ion channel function in common.

We have at least 18" of snow on the ground with another 4-8" forecasted this weekend. Spectrum internet was down for 36 hours. Power through the coop has been sketchy but on. The roads are plowed, traffic is normal, and the bar next door is open.

The predictions for heaviest snowfall amounts on every map are centered over our house. A light snow is beginning to fall. If we don't get 18+ inches, we'll be disappointed.

I have a vague memory of the periscope on the USS Silversides when it first arrived in 1987. There was no museum or tour. I thought it was temporary.

For two years the people of Sweden sacrificed first bulls then men to end the famine that devastated the land. On the third year, they seized their King, Domalde, and sacrificed him to the gods. The next year was prosperous. #WyrdWednesday

This is so amazing, but I'm sad for the children who can't visit a real corn maze. Most of the thrill is in walking until you think you might die out there.
