Every year I do Movember. I’m continuing my to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. I’ve also set a goal to run 100 miles for the month. I just hit 25 miles this morning, and I’m already regretting my decision 😆

I’d really appreciate anyone who can support my fundraiser: movember.com/m/Conner?mc=60

We may have an answer: integration of learned priors through feedback. New paper with @kenmiller.bsky.social! 🧵

The subject is WHY neural networks work, and I think the answer I offer is kind of interesting. Maybe even a little correct, possibly.

I've released my first Go application!

It's a (very basic) terminal video editor that uses ffmpeg and whisper to let you selectively choose which lines from a video you want to keep.

You can also preview each line with a pop-up video player!

What happens when you run React Server Components on a custom Rust runtime instead of Node.js?

4x faster rendering, 10k+ req/sec, sub-50ms P99 latency.

Same JSX, same component patterns. Zero Rust knowledge needed.

The runtime does the heavy lifting, you write the React.

Ran into that while wondering why running `npm install` takes so long on the Preact repo.
