The GFRobot article about Star Trek fans being majority male/conservative is still going around several days later, so I was to say 1) don't click on it or they will "write" more just like it & 2) the site is known trash.

If you ever wonder if our little corner of fandom matters, just remember that we have a literal Bond villain having a meltdown because he clearly doesn’t understand a single scifi movie he’s ever watched.

Joyce Carol Oates owned Elon so hard he's spent the last day posting about movies he hasn't seen in 15 years

My Junior year of college, I took a course in logic, and I opted to do a half-hour presentation on fallacies.
“Fallacious” was a word I’d read many, many times, but never said out loud. I mispronounced it.
And consequently spent 30 minutes unintentionally making dick jokes.

My mum just said to me "You should be hung like a horse". When I challenged her over saying such a thing, it transpires she thought it was a punishment horses got. Turns out she's been incorrectly using the phrase since the 90s in various settings

You ever notice how many of these innovations reduce back to

Look, I’m not overly fond of the QR-code-as-a-menu schtick, but if you’re going to do it, have the code open up a very lean HTML webpage.
A bloated PDF on your Google drive just adds insult to injury.

Coke knows they cannot improve or change their main product. They tried that once, it didn’t go well. Their business plan relies entirely on marketing that product to everyone forever.
Coke will live and die by their marketing. What is the wisdom of cheaping out and going to AI?

Yesterday, I told somebody that, when I go to Las Vegas, it’s always in August.
They couldn’t believe it “Why the hell would you go to Las Vegas in the middle of summer?” They asked.
