The unionization of digital media was and is so important, and we gotta start reminding the bosses that it’s the floor
New: Conde Nast fired four employees who were among a group that confronted the company's head of human resources on Wednesday over the decision to fold Teen Vogue into Vogue/recent cuts. Employees who were fired included journalists from the New Yorker, Wired, and Bon Appétit.

I love watching H develop his imagination. I watched him pick up imaginary food off of the ground and feed it to his bouncy horse. His elephant figures drink out of a watering hole made of blocks. He does his bedtime routine for his stuffed animals. He wipes up imaginary dirt off the walls.

These videos remind me of Neil Theise's NOTES ON COMPLEXITY. The spontaneous response from NYers to protect ourselves is how complex, living systems respond. We are individual parts & a unified whole. All interactions are local. Numbers matter.

New: For @msnbc.com I wrote abt Trump’s absurd EO declaring antifa a “domestic terror org”

I trace history of MAGA manufacturing antifa bogeyman to both distract from v real far right violence, & to create a pretext for vigilantes & police to target the wider left www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...
Opinion | Trump‘s new anti-antifa panic is the start of something much more dangerous
The president signed an executive order Monday declaring antifa a “domestic terrorist organization.”

They should remember him by reading out his actual words.
National day of remembrance for Charlie Kirk motion passed the Senate by unanimous consent.

Zero Democrats objected, which would have stopped it.

It’s almost as if we should have been enforcing our antitrust laws for the last 25 years. Maybe then media conglomerates wouldn’t be violating our fundamental rights to appeal to a fragile, narcissistic autocrat.

CNN: You know who we should have on to talk political violence? The PizzaGate dude who wrote a book praising Franco and Pinochet. Yea the guy who said “We don’t negotiate with unhumans" at NatCon, talking about progressives, calling it a fight between "civilization versus barbarism"

Posobiec - whose ties to white supremacists are legion - wrote a book last year called “Unhumans” in which he labeled half the country UNHUMAN

It is language designed to inspire political violence yet our cable news channels have made him a talking head about political violence
The number of Americans who have discovered names like Jack Posobiec and Nick Fuentes this past week without knowing what they actually stand for is pretty alarming

i think what is most annoying here is that the people who have covered this movement for the last decade have basically had to stare into the abyss - you gotta expose yourself to a *lot* of dumb and upsetting stuff. and now these ppl have to watch others kool-aid man into the discourse w/o context
