Already, over 350 city workers have moved nearly 800 loads of snow, amounting to 12,640 cubic yards and weighing over 2500 tons, to six snow farms across the City.

We anticipate having snow removal crews out for the next two nights.

After the eighth-largest Boston snowfall on record (23 inches!), the work hasn't stopped for our dedicated Public Works team.

Crews are back at it today using equipment to clear intersections and curb ramps and widen streets. When cleaning off your car, please don’t leave snow on the street.

@boston.gov announced the end of the snow emergency as of 8:00 p.m. on January 26. While municipal buildings reopen tomorrow, residents must take immediate action regarding parking, space savers, and sidewalks to ensure city-wide safety.

The snow emergency and parking ban will be lifted at 8 p.m. tonight.

Residents parked in discounted lots or garages have until 10 p.m. to move vehicles before regular rates resume.

Space savers should be removed by 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Space savers are prohibited in the South End and Bay Village.

All BPS schools will be CLOSED Tuesday, January 27, due to snow. School and district sports and activities also will be CANCELED Tuesday, January 27.

The City is declaring a snow emergency and parking ban, effective 8:00 AM tomorrow, Sunday January 25. During snow emergencies, vehicles parked on posted emergency arteries will be ticketed and towed.
