A Republican-led Utah audit of over 2 million voter registrations found only one noncitizen, who never voted.

The results undercut the right-wing narrative of widespread noncitizen voting, especially as Republicans renew their push for a proof-of-citizenship requirement in voter registration.
Utah reviewed its voter rolls for noncitizens. It found one. Who never voted
The results sharply undercut the narrative of widespread noncitizen voting Republicans are using to promote new nationwide restrictions on voting.

Foege led the global effort to eradicate smallpox, widely viewed as one of the greatest public health achievements in history, and later ran the CDC.

Giving them more training won't make them more peaceful.

It'll just make their brutalization more polished and effective.
The officer who shot Alex worked for DHS for 8 years. The officer who shot Renee worked for DHS for over 10 years. Both are considered “highly trained.”

The problem isn’t "training." DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity. We must MELT ICE and dismantle DHS.

Today, 23 Senate Republicans could stop this madness.

They could end the murder of innocent citizens.

They could end Steven Miller’s violent white nationalist agenda.

They could reign in ICE and CBP’s unlimited powers.

Just 23. This is what angers me the most. Our future rests in their hands.

Saying there must be trials isn't just an emotive aspiration.

Congress can:
- Create a new court (complying w/ 6A jury vicinage)
- Give it jurisdiction over defined category of crimes
- Also create dedicated prosecutors for the same
- Strip SCOTUS of appellate jurisdiction

It can be done.

15 years ago I borrowed a bulletproof vest from a reporter so I could report from a war zone. I held onto it after I returned.

Last week the reporter finally asked for it back because he is headed to Minneapolis.

The majority of organizing happening in Minnesota isn’t just peaceful, it’s INVISIBLE. Moms showing up who won’t be interviewed on TV, people whose ICE patrols don’t turn into viral video. The grocery runs, the donations, the people filming bc they happen to be there. Please remember this.

Beyond helping establish DHS itself in 2003, Mr. Mitnick was a senate-confirmed Trump choice for General Counsel for DHS in his first term. I've talked with him a few times, and he's not a man for hyperbole. So bear that in mind when you see him calling out DHS's "lawlessness, fascism, and cruelty."

Another anti-dissociation protocol is to find something nearby and study it out loud. "It is slightly warm, it has a rough texture, it makes a solid sound when I tap it, it is too big to lift. It is in the same place at the same time as I am".
If you’re struggling, I’m copy pasting what a trauma therapist friend suggested here:

“Highly recommend dunking your face in a bowl of cold water, drinking some water to help your body flush the adrenaline and finding something to smell or touch for grounding and avoiding dissociation”

"The blood was only ever a means to an end," the vampire confessed in the interview.

"To what end?" the reporter asked.

"Blood carries vigor, life force, vital energy. That's what we feed on."

"So how do you get it, if not through blood?"

"These days, we make doom scrolling apps to drain it."
