🐾 48 Years of #SnowLeopardConservation & Methodological Evolution

On Thursday (10th) SLN is hosting a landmark webinar featuring Dr. Rodney Jackson, the pioneering scientist behind the 1st radio-telemetry study on #snowleopards & Rinzin Phunjok Lama, internationally recognized conservationist.

A timely and much-needed contribution to conservation law enforcement. An important approach — congratulations to the authors.

We showed how hunting patterns change dynamically with respect to human and landscape‐related features. We also demonstrated complex hunting patterns along the gradient of human influence, therefore questioning the use of proxies such as the distance to the village to account for hunting pressure.

Thrilled to share our newly published paper and my first first-author paper. We used hunting sign data from long-term monitoring in the Ebo forest, Littoral-Cameroon, to explore the spatiotemporal patterns of hunting activities.
