Playing xenoblade x because i want a game i cam play while watching hockey and I’ve beaten it before. God the xenoblades need switch 2 upgrades. I am extraordinarily excited for whatever monolith does next but i would love if they also made their previous games even more fantastic

Yes. You should play Final Fantasy X. You should all have played Final Fantasy X. And when that's done, you should play Xenoblade 3 and its DLC. But to do tha, you'll havebto play Xenoblades 1 & 2 first.

I never played this game b/c people were so wound up about literally every single detail being a spoiler that when I mentioned I knew it had mecha, I got screamed at at length about it being a spoiler.

i think all of the xenoblades could benefit from NS2 editions just on what i know, and if any of them could have more "substantial" content i'd definitely pick XC2
game has so many minor shortcomings that monolith has worked past now. i'd love to see it get retouched.

I can second that 3 functions perfectly as a stand alone. The only prior experience I had was a bit of Xenoblades Chronicles X
(which is the other one I'd recommend in the series, but for entirely different reasons - the story wasn't incredibly memorable, but the sense of exploration/scope was)

I don't even remember how big my SD card is storage-wise since I've had this thing for roughly seven years, the joke is that even needing 20 gigs for a game is wild to me. And I have all four Xenoblades, those are big games! They're just compressed really well I guess!

Yeah, the Xenoblades are probably the easiest to start with 'cause they're all on switch/switch 2 - gears and saga are a bit more difficult to play unless you have the OG hardware or can emulate.

So they're thematically related and by the same main guy (Takahashi) and there's like. some loooooooose connections in terms of story beats but AFAIK, Xenogears, xenosaga, and xenoblade are all technically separate. I have not played Xenoblades yet though!
