I'm saving mine to line a wormery (when I finally get around to buying a wormery)

Get yourself a wormery and you don't even need to go out and about.
Celebrating worms on #WorldSoilDay!

Did you know, there are thousands of known earthworm species globally?

They are crucial to enhancing soil health and fertility by recycling nutrients, aerating and improving drainage.

How many worms can you spot out and about this weekend?

Text I definitely didn’t want from Mr. CMG as I almost sat after 4 loads of laundry on top of other morning chores. 60+ MPH gusts! Upright & bungeed to raised bed now. Dragged potted roses, mints, rosemary plus wormery into basement (after taking out big trug of compost). Thanks, worms! #gardening 🌱

That’s the wormery winter ready. Supervisor Betty approved the work! 🌱

Morning all. A really cold frosty start to the day, with a shepherd’s warning sky. First job of the day is to insulate the wormery for the coming winter months. I’ll be recycling some packaging which should do the job. Keep warm & safe everyone 😊 🌱

He is now relocated to the forest and I escalated by placing a trap permanently placed in the wormery. The war goes on….

Ohh rats!

Yesterday we found out that the hyperactive pest on the picture had somehow found a way in too our wormery. This is despite it being fortified with wire mesh.

A study in purple. Fed with liquid from our wormery.

Great idea! I've about 15 liters of worm tea from the last 6 months of having my wormery - hadn't a clue what to do with it! Thanks

Tom brought us the compost worms and bedding materials to make at home in our new Greenway Garden wormery that Tom and Ricky made reality. We’ll be feeding them regularly and looking forward to some top grade worm compost and tea as they work their magic. 🪱🪱🪱🪱

I finally did the latest Manderville quests yesterday. And today, I caught myself smacking an eggshell with a spoon to the beat of the Manderville theme while I was peeling boiled eggs.

I suspect there's some brain wormery involved.

Betty on patrol near her nest. She may have sneaked a couple of worms whilst I topped up the wormery scraps.

That’s adorable! How long has Betty been nesting there? Also, the liquid feed from the wormery sounds amazing for roses!

This is Betty who has a nest here. She’s perched on her favourite spot, the wormery! Although not in great quantity, the wormery produces the finest compost for seed planting & a liquid feed that I use on the roses. 🌱 #GardensHour

Introducing Brenda who has moved in to the area near the old shed ( which has been in the garden since 1934). She’s a feisty bobbin & is keeping a close eye on me. She’s perched on the wormery, hopefully she won’t work out how to open it! 🌱

but I made a mistake and even after clearing it they came back so eh. It too is a wormery.

Which I have three of. Two I bought and one smaller on I made from junk. Those and the hotbin provide leachate and the compost bins basically amend the soil for growing in endlessly.

#FunFact:
I refuse to say 'can of worms' because I have a #wormery and #worms are super cool, helpful, productive and even arguably cute, so there's that. #wormery #worms
