Red Riding Hood and the big hairy woodcock who devoured grandma 👵

My attempt on the Avon county year list record (208, set in 2006) began modestly with 123 species seen in January. But there was some quality in the form of Penduline Tit, RN Duck, LEO, Whooper, Bk Redstart, Gtr White-front, DB Brent, RB Merg, Firecrest, Scaup, Woodcock & Brambling #ukbirding

From the description I thought this was about Woodcock

One thing is clear. The whole of our current political system is corrupt as fuck.

All needs to go
A Labour MP who led a shady as fuck all-channels PR campaign against his own party, urging the public to vote Tory, and was rewarded for it by Boris Johnson with a peerage: a bullshit non-job for life. And this is the first time in six years I’ve seen anyone half-notable raise this as a bad thing.

Still loads of Kittiwakes along the beach at Seaton Point today (& 1 Little Gull). Also a Puffin fishing offshore, and a Woodcock flushed from the beach #NEbirding

"the future of music will be driven only by taste"

imagine being so obsessed with a silly social construct like money that you've lost all notions and familiarity with the spectrum of human emotions music gives us access to. These grifters are profoundly empty and broken.

I have never seen one before either. I saw a Woodcock 20yrs ago by the bay with an injured beak and thought it was the same. I played with a different pic for image id. It sat for quite some time and I thought it was hurt. Worried and figuring out how to help it.. when it stood I was so relieved!

Brave you! I've not been birding except through my window today - bloody 'orrid weather!
Ventured out yesterday & saw 5 Short-eared Owls, a Hen Harrier, Water Pipit, lots of waders et al, then Barn Owl & 3 Woodcock at home at dusk.
Yes, certainly a Peregrine.

Alma and Reynolds Woodcock would just love this
Hidden in the binding of this 16th century French herbal, a book describing the uses of plants, are sheets of printed 'waste' used by the binder to bulk up the cover. This seems to be a frame for something never printed #fragments #bindings

Day trip to Norfolk for some year ticks. Titchwell yielded tawny owl, lt duck and two woodcock. Three glossy ibis at Stiffkey showed well. Water pipit at Cley was elusive. Few other bits and pieces got me 14 year ticks and up to 127 for the year. Not a day for photos! #ukbirding #norfolk #yearlist

Hikâyeler çalışma koşullarını görünür kılar, kıyaslanabilir hale getirir ve işyerleri arasında dolaşıma sokar... Peki, işçi hikâyeleri örgütlenme için de bir başlangıç noktası olabilir mi?

Notes from Below editörlerinden Jamie Woodcock, Hazal Göçmen’in sorularını yanıtlıyor.
Jamie Woodc...

Let's also not forget John Woodcock fled the Labour Party to avoid a sexual assault investigation by the party ....
