We have been to Whitby Loster Hatchery!
They aim to release 100,000 lobsters so that the marine cycle can be conserved while the town keeps its heritage and livelihood.

This is the difference between a 3 week old lobster and a 30+ year old lobster

Saw a stoat in the garden just now. It was on my low dry stone wall but hurried away. Kept still for a few minutes and it came back to look at me for about 4 seconds then went again.
Beautiful moment. Obv photo not by me.

Plenty of Orange Tips too but too fast for me! Waiting for the Peacock Butterfly 🦋 to arrive. Any day now.
A Red Admiral Butterfly on a Buddleia blossom. The blossom is purple with pinky red inside. The butterfly is head first on the flower with wings slightly open. Just enough to recognise it as a Red Admiral. Black body with black wings tips dotted in white and a red line then red dots near its back. Behind it blurred green vegetation.
