He went for his operation, but the vet didn't feel comfortable removing his lump due to high risks. He's now mostly bald, in a babygrow, and off his face on methadone.

But fr, as well as those with PTSD, and pets, thousands of birds die from shock due to fireworks. Bees become disorientated, and wild animals also die after digesting debris.

TIL about the existence of trilobite beetles, and their sexual dimorphism is RIDICULOUS

They don’t even look like they’re from the same taxonomical order, let alone species.

The vets tried to trick him by putting the tablets in his food bowl. Now he won't eat unless I take a handful from his food and pretend to eat it first.

We have a lot to be happy about today because the vet said that the lumps on Henry's sides aren't cancer!!

He was so good for his biopsies. Turns out that they're fat deposits which are benign ❤️🐕

I saw a European Hornet for the first time, chilling in the wildlife garden.
These (not so) little guys have the ability to remember faces, which is fairly rare in insects, and they can excrete a hormone to tell other hornets that you're bad if you annoy just one.

A brown and yellow European Hornet sits on a light deadwood log. It's roughly an inch or so long, with large black compound eyes. As well as the usual six legs, ot has two equally brown antennae protuding from the centre of it's forehead.

A tiny crab, just a few millimetres in diameter, is on a light-skinned hand. It's a grey-brown with a light strip on its head An even tinier crab is on the same light-skinned hand. Maybe 2 millimetres in diameter at most. Vaguely brown in colour.

We have been to Whitby Loster Hatchery!
They aim to release 100,000 lobsters so that the marine cycle can be conserved while the town keeps its heritage and livelihood.

This is the difference between a 3 week old lobster and a 30+ year old lobster
