I got up early this morning to watch the women's downhill event at the Olympics. I watched the whole event, from the pre-show to Team USA's Breezy Johnson posting the gold-winning time to Lindsey Vonn being medevaced off the mountain.

The number of women telling me that Lindsey Vonn should have stepped down to allow another to compete is MIND BOGGLING. This criticism is rarely (if ever?) leveled at male athletes. Vonn earned that spot. It was her decision to take the risk. Only women are expected to "make space" for others.
