Turians in the Mass Effect universe have a lifespan comparable to humans, generally living to around 150 years, though some sources suggest a slightly shorter range of 115 to 135 years, or even 80 to 100 years, making them relatively long-lived compared to species like Salarians but shorter than Asari or Krogan. How old is Garrus Vakarian in ME1? Patrick Weekes said on Twitter that Garrus is 2-4 years younger than Shepard, making him between 25 and 27 (so, let's say 26.) Since Shepard enlisted in the military at 18, and all turians join the military at 15, that means Shep and Garrus became soldiers at the same time.
