I blame economic polarization for the extraordinary deterioration in the usabilty of *both* Vanguard and Fidelity retail investor sites over the past 30y.

Garmin > whoop

Sometimes I wish we'd all just go back to rss and email newsletters. Got one subscriber? Nice! But honestly, it was forseeable that bs would try sth its users would hate and do it anyway, for the sake of "usabilty" or whatever ...

Right I suppose the unstated subtle point is the degree of work needed to acquire such specialized knowledge and the fact that doing so in the AI context erodes its usabilty for other tasks.

Apologies for the rant everyone.

I'll spare you the next episode under the working title "Yes, a lot of people actually need a lot more range than you do".

Which in a nutshell also alleviates usabilty problems for people with only occasional access to charging.

Made it past initial screening. Now into a second room. More of the same. Rapt inefficiency. People yelling numbers over the din of crowd gathered.

How do I get the contract to improve this process design for the future? #usabilty #ethnography

Since today, the #BlueSky menu overlays that of my smartphone, so that the usability is insufficient.

Hey #Apple, please stop making #Voicemail autoplay. It’s incredibly frustrating that you make these great #transcripts but my audio stream automatically switches to a spam call. This is a basic of #usabilty. #UserControl #UX

Bluesky is “screen reader accessible” the way a staircase with curb cuts on each step is a “wheelchair ramp.”
No keyboard nav. No useful landmarks. No focus memory. I lose my place every time I interact with a post.
Compliance ≠ usability.

As we mark National Stress Awareness Month, we highlight Dr Constantin Jabarin’s blog on why #EPR usabilty shouldn’t be overlooked and how investing in technology that works for clinicians is crucial.

the hability of take screenshots and trim them , and paste into other apps. The real working drag and drop files into applications (that sucks on windows), the gestures with the trackpad. I think they put a really good effort in usabilty and productivity early in the OS

Q: Can web design be "too accessible" eg, too many features, reducing usabilty?
---
"No.(...) You can make the experience worse by implementing accessibility features incorrectly, which is the antithesis of accessibility as a practice / design philosophy."

think this quote is the real main takeaway. hype != product usabilty. been guilty of this myself
> Social media excitement and company valuations have minimal relationship to real-world utility. We’ve found the most reliable signal comes from detailed stories of users shipping products and services.
This is a really useful post to garner a realistic perspective about where coding agents are right now. They can do more than you expect an autonomous actor to do, but still fail often, and can't be left completely to their own devices yet.

I'm posting usabilty suggestions, yes.

It would be nice if you could include more information with the profile, too.

Didn't even realize Grand Medusa and Grand Vane have the same issues of having stacks with incredibly specific and limiting conditions that GREATLY nerf their usabilty. Medusa has only getting stacks from Primal allies. Vane has only getting attacks from proccing his Guts

When the department you work in goes into fire fighting mode (because arbitrary cuts and targets have been announced) and all your hopes of usabilty research, testing and stakeholders giving damn about it go up in smoke...

That.
