The story in the quote posted on timeextension is fake. Kojima debunked it

Well, I fess up, and say that I jumped on the rage-train early; and without fact-checking.

TimeExtension spells it out here:

He's right tho.

You can't complain because you found some broken packages that aren't maintained by him and go cry about it later?

TimeExtension just adding drama (as often is 🙄🙄🙄)

Just like when people give shit to emu devs that the retroarch core isn't up-to-date (well yea, it's not their job!)

@dailypacman.bsky.social @ryansilberman.bsky.social It turns out that TimeExtension did an interview with a former Namco employee on PAC-Man Advrntures and got more info on it, as well as Don Bluth’s involvement. www.timeextension.com/news/2024/07...
Namco Once Hired Dragon Lair's Don Bluth To "Bring New Life" To Pac-Man
'Pac-Man Adventures' was meant to be a darker take on the series

You know what? I'm a huge fan of Syndicate, but I do not want to spend 3hrs watching a documentary about it.

Just because you *can* upload 3hr videos to YouTube doesn't mean you *should*. Editting is all part of the skill of film making...

worth noting that that site TimeExtension has been steadily platforming and running puff pieces for Luckey's device since the start, and have added some noncommittal disclaimers calling him "controversial" and "divisive" when under heat for it but haven't seemed to slow down

Interesting article Damien at #timeextension (come on guys, get a #fediverse presence, please!): the unanticipated and unpleasant consequences of uploading data you haven’t reviewed or understood to a public cloud. And not separating your work and private data […]

They were classy enough to not mention it: Nintendo Life does have subscriptions

For $4 a month, you get ad free access to Nintendo Life, Push Square, and Pure Xbox

AND TimeExtension, which is my personal favorite; they cover news about retro games

Highly recommend

The people at TimeExtension need to delete this article or update it to reflect this info because all of you getting hyped for the prospect of PS2 games being playable on PC natively via this project got misled big time.

PCSX2 already exists and emulates the majority of games great.

And TimeExtension has been shadowzoned/boo-boxed/whatever you wanna call it. Thanks for the callout. It was how they replied to this in their comments with a half-qualifying footnote that did it.

Was this a little mean? Maybe, but it’s not the first (or even second) example of TimeExtension just completely misreporting on something and leaving out key details
See, this is why I don’t follow yall anymore. For every actually interesting story you post, you post something like that is wildly misleading and poorly researched.

I fucking expect better in retro games coverage, especially from a website and I get better from people just posting on main

I wonder if TGM4 will take advantage of being on PC somehow... Online leaderboards for times and Grades?
