#sutab
They sent sutab first, I could not swallow the horse pills. Now we’re moving on to SuCress or something like that.

There's a pill called Sutab but idk anyone personally who's been prescribed that instead of the liquid. It gets mixed reviews b/c of cost & people not drinking all the water they're supposed to; I've had three colonoscopies w/three different drs and none of them used it but I didn't ask why.

The tablets are called Sutab, but they require a prescription. Either way, good luck tomorrow and enjoy your proforol nap!! 😂

Oh god they didnt even have the decency to give you Sutab?

I've not done this prep personally, but a nurse friend had excellent luck with the pill prep (Sutab?).

did you know that if you say the magic words you can get a colonoscopy earlier than usual? Had a colonoscopy & endoscopy today & it was all a 10/10 experience. I can’t recommend the Sutab protocol enough. What a piece of cake that was, I’d heard so many bad things about other prep methods.

I couldn't keep a chunk of it down (turned out I had/have gastritis!), and I was genuinely scared I was going to have to reschedule.

Clenpiq and sutab are both much gentler options.

I agree! I was fortunate in that I've never had to drink the liquid nastiness - first prep was Miralax + Crystal Lite - but SuTab is even easier than that! IMO SuTab is the ONLY way to go (hm, that could be the product slogan!)

A colonoscopy is the only way to confirm it really. They can do blood work to see if her CRP is elevated but that just shows there's inflammation somewhere. But with the colonoscopy they take biopsies to confirm. And with sutab as the prep is really not terrible.

Pro tip I got elsewhere: ask for the sutab prep. It’s 24 pills you have to take day for and day of instead of chugging the really awful gallons of yuck.

SUTAB (not my all caps, that’s the name) worked for me. A pill pre rather than the drink prep.

There are a lot of new Rx preps that have come on the market in the last 5 years, all much smaller volume than Golytely/NuLytely. Among them are SuTab, the first tablet-only prep; Suprep; and Plenvu, which is the simplest and smallest volume overall at 2 x 16oz with no other laxatives required.

I'm on round 2 of the Sutab. It's honestly not that bad although I would definitely rather be asleep at the moment.

Yes! Did Sutab on Thursday, easiest. Prep. EVER. 12 tabs (about the size of a multivitamin, don't taste like anything) one at a time + water, wait 4 hours, 12 more tabs + water. Worked for me after about 3 hours. Cleaned out by midnight. Minimal cramping. Highly recommended!!!

Sutab also has a bunch of possibilities

Hello darkness my old friend...

Yes! I used Sutab on Thursday for my colonoscopy. Took the first 12 tablets at 4, stuff started moving around 6:45. Colon emptied by midnight. Minimal cramps, nothing major. My advice: wear an adult diaper once you start taking it bc when it goes, it GOES and you don't get a lot of warning.

And they make a prep called Sutab... insurance won't cover it but it's only like $50-60 and it's just pills it's not that gallon of nasty crap. Much easier prep.

3. If you have the option to do the pill prep (called Sutab), TAKE IT. Instead of drinking a massive amount of disgusting liquid, you take an obscene number of pills with water. The results are equally messy, but at least you're not drinking something vile.

Also, if you have to get a colonoscopy and they offer up the Sutab pills for prep, DO IT.

It’s colonoscopy prep day! This is my second time using Sutab, the pill prep vs oral solution and I’m a big fan.

The oral prep always made me vomit. So I’m thankful for this option. #IBD #colonoscopy #crohnsdisease
