This has been the desire for rich Republicans for decades because they see huge profits in it for them. I can assure you that privitization would make a mess of it.

Americans 50 to 64 voted for Trump by a 13 point margin.
While retirees 65+ split their vote evenly, 49%-49%.
I really don't understand why anyone near the retirement age would vote for people who have salivated over the elimination/privitization of Social Security and Medicare for 40+ years.

Oh, dont even need to be an economist to answer that. Haha, umm no? At no point does privitization of public resources work out well.
The system is broken, throwing it out to the highest bidder isnt going to fix it. Just make it more expensive.

Sorry that your point isn't directly supported the way you wanted it to be, but if you're looking for a deep dive on the evils of test scores, it isn't funding, it's the privitization of public schools disguised as "accountability". No Child Left Behind was a fucking disaster.

I dunno man. I remember before social media when the right had effectively complete control over news and comment in Ireland and (not coincidentally) this was never discussed. All Kevin Myers all the time. Without social media there would be a President Ahern signing the water privitization bill.

We #pay for #services. Some we get; better Medicaid. Some we don't; repaired roads. Taxes for common good, theoretically. So high gas tax should have avoided #privitization of I-405 tolls to #Texas Co. Feds control #money strings, not boots on ground. Don't know who signed that deal. Bad one for us.

My Daughter lives in Manchester, England. I'm usually there twice a year. I love the UK Train system (even with Privitization and all it's flaws). Will be there in a few weeks. Planning on taking the train from Manchester to Glasgow for my Birthday this year.

Anyone who says yes is probably too far gone to bother with, but for everyone else, it draws a red line on how far they will support privitization

Agree. Medicare Advantage is a step towards complete privitization of Medicare. That being said, I have MA, and here's why: 1. Predictability of co-pays 2. Prescription Drug coverage cheaper than if purchased separately. Medicare should be expanded to include everything. I would love to dump MA.

1/2 Unfortunately, Due to the privitization of alot of things these days, #disaster aid has to be run by privately owned companies. doesnt take much to support organisations like @msf.ca and @unicef.org. with climate change, mass scale events are on the uptick.
