Gruelling is fair, I'd say.
And logistically tricky unless you car shuttle.
Last time I hitched from Ravenscar to Scarborough, train to Northallerton, bus to Osmotherly to collect my car.

White Rose Walk looks good, not much shorter though.
Reckon I'll do that instead of repeating old tracks.

I also walked through the grounds of the Lady Chapel in Osmotherly today. I think this was where Aslan was sacrificed.

The Osmotherly rules in the news. A throwback to simpler times.
The government has backed its national security adviser in his refusal to appear before the committee responsible for scrutinising him

Pat McFadden said it isn't "appropriate" for Jonathan Powell to face the committee as he's an adviser

Committee chair Labour MP Matt Western "does not agree"

North York Moors, between Osmotherly & Swainby on a cold, cloudy, misty day (you can’t even see Teesside, below, where I used to work…). Sign pointing the Cleveland Way.

Note: DWP officials blocked La Rocca on the basis civil servants were prevented from giving evidence under the “Osmotherly rules”.

However, those rules covered *parliamentary select committees* and not independent reviews.

How does that make sense?

A wonderful morning at Osmotherly as the new bell is dedicated, the refurbished bells rededicated and a swish new ‘at the push of one button’ electronic ringer proves too complex for a new bishop. Worshipful and impressive handbell choir and school choir helping lead worship.

Absolutely gorgeous, especially in winter when the landscape is brown and grey. The village of Osmotherly is incredibly pretty as well!

Went to visit the spot where we scattered my mum’s ashes on her 69th birthday at Cod Beck Reservoir in Osmotherly, North Yorkshire, and got some lovely landscape shots from on a cool winter morning.

Been for a walk around Cod Beck Reservoir near Osmotherley, North Yorkshire.
Quite an easy saunter encircling the water. 2km or so. Crisp, but not too cold. Fog-less.
Nice to get out in the fresh air. 😀 🥾 🌲

A coffin related walk!

'The Lyke Wake Walk' a 40-mile walk across the North Yorkshire Moors between Osmotherly & Ravenscar where the the corpses (lykes) & the coffins were taken to be disposed of, thrown off the cliffs!

It is. And if those are the public loos in Osmotherly, they're the most amazingly well-kept ones in the UK.
