The weather is beautiful on the Millevaches Plateau today, less so in Les Gorges de la Garonne, where I decided to hike.
The average altitude on the plateau is 500 m and here the sun is shining and the sky is blue. The Black rocks viaduct shrouded in mist. In autumn it stays cold in river, gorgeous and mist and fog layers along the river.

Just before I set off on the Grand Canyon Rim-2-Rim.
My destination is 20 miles away on the horizon, a mile deep canyon is between the two.
By far the hardest thing I had done at the time.
44ºC at the bottom; I suffered from severe dehydration.
Said I would never do it again.

Done it twice since.
A confused and bewildered middle aged man, exceedingly unstylishly dressed, stands on the south rim of the Grand Canyon just after dawn.

Happy Swiftie migration day!!
I joined Bluesky quite early. But never really used it. But as X got worse and worse, I had to leave. I arrived there, and thought, what do I like? Skateboarding, snowboarding, punk music and Taylor Swift. So I followed a few starter packs. I was completely unaware of the great Swiftie migration. And to be honest, there's was no real skateboarding or punk scene here. And as a result, many of my interactions on BlueSky this past year have been with Swifties. As an old man, I'm not really a part of the fandom, despite how much I love Taylor. But it sure is fun to see all you guys sharing the love. And I appreciate you all.

Next gig is Young Gods. Haven't seen 'em since the 1990s.
Wiki says they're from Genève, but I clearly remember NME said they were from Martigny so I went down from Verbier to visit.
They have changed "a bit" since they sent it with Envoyé.
But they still play my fave "Gasoline Man" live.
