Health Canada is looking out for us. The warning label is there because frequently eating foods high in sodium, saturated fats and/or sugars can lead to increased health risks:

stroke
obesity
heart disease
type 2 diabetes
high blood pressure
some types of cancers

Research has found that using transit instead of driving reduces likelihood of obesity and other health concerns. But there is still a lack of support for transit. At least bringing back the tax credit for transit users would be one option

Yes, you’re right factoring in education - obesity, smoking, alcohol, access to healthy food. But rich or poor you have access to healthcare. That said a family member is flying from western Canada to NYC to pay for stents rather than wait for the procedure in BC.

These labels from Health Canada are a complete waste of taxpayer dollars. You will not stop me from buying orange juice or even cookies. Here we are "addressing obesity" and not food insecurity...
But don't worry! Some foods are exempt! 😒
