I make this point semi-regularly. People generally ignor it because it doesn’t confirm their priors. I’ll add that switching to 100% in-class assignments to guard against AI is terrible for a lot of nurodivergent students. bsky.app/profile/jimc...
My perennial reminder responding to a story about the misuse of AI by academics by suggesting all AI should be band/abolished, is ableism. LLMs are transformative for dyslexics/other disabled people. We need to use them responsibly, which means not generating text with citations for unread sources.

I had a manager who challenged decisions regularly. The Director *really* didnt like him, because he saw him as a disrupter. I defended him to the hilt. He made us think. Justify actions. Question ideas. I dont know if he was nurodivergent or not, but he always looked at things very differently.

But I, As a nurodivergent person, am making the kind of shows that I hyperfixate on.
I am creating becourse I love these worlds and characters and genuinely just want to share it with the world.
And hopefully i can share just a fraction of the enthusiasm with others.

Diabetes sucks. Having a nurodivergent brain that really hampers any chances of changing diets sucks. Existing in Neo-feudalism and fascism sucks. Having my favorite media owned by a evil corporation sucks.
Knowing who I am is good. Having found some community is good. Reading and Gaming is good.

Thanks. I vented a while ago on an Autism hashtag on Mastodon and the number of people who said exactly that "you must rest or your body will make you rest" without reading/comprehending the rest of my post was just astounding. Like they theoretically was nurodivergent and should have understood.

I am a POC nurodivergent vegan, I disagree with this. Topics like poverty are discussed, veganism is accessible cuz the cheapest foods are vegan (beans, rice, vegetables). I'm from a poor village in India and people are vegan there cuz that's all they can afford. Plants are CHEAPEST on the planet.
