For Northwood is really good. Most solo Button Shy games have a small footprint; Lands of Amazement is the latest one I've gotten and I'm really enjoying it, and Numbsters can be played literally in your hand. Welcome to Reckoning. Rolling Realms. Fliptown would probably fit.

Who are the brains behind Donald Trump?

Who is pushing his buttons?

Who wants the USA to be controlled by an intellectual numbster backed up with a clan of department head numbsters?

Who wants America so disrupted and full of distrust?

Who?

A few @buttonshy.bsky.social games arrived the other day. And decided to give Numbsters a go tonight. Great little game that I could take out anytime. Really enjoyed the choices the game offers and puzzly nature of the game.

These teeny print and play games are so much fun! Light and compact they have done pretty deep themes and provide lots of solo adventures. My favorites are #numbsters and #anicecuppa

Can confirm. Tussie Mussie from @buttonshy.bsky.social @elizhargrave.bsky.social makes for superb inflight entertainment (as does Numbsters)! This and more as my #boardgames (some of them!) go on tour to Turkey!

The wonderful Numbsters is back in stock in the UK Button Shy online shop. My copy arrived today. A pretty, puzzly game and (unlike in this photo, which is for visual effect only) it takes up minimal table space. So ideal for playing on a teeny train […]

Neither sang to me like Numbsters and LL do. I’m not sure my brain works on this type of game. It’s similar with Grove and those kinds of games. I’ll keep at it and any tips are appreciated. Need to get better before Adventurous arrives!

Newest @buttonshy.bsky.social just showed up. These are my first ‘opolis’ games. Can either of them overtake Numbsters and Last Lighthouse as my favorite Button Shy?

@buttonshy.bsky.social's Numbsters - Buildup

Don't let players spam the same option, as that gets boring.

Instead, make them work for it, so they feel accomplished.

Some common ways to do that are by adding a resource or financial cost to the action. Or here, the card is moved to the back.

3 plays of Let’s Go to Japan? That’s a beautiful stat—and a beautiful trip. Add in Numbsters, Last Lighthouse, and Black Sonata? You’ve clearly been living the good game life. This list is officially Fun Factory Certified™. #DingDing

Second play of Numbsters and got a win! I’ve heard how fun this one was was and I’m glad I preordered for the reprint. This has a chance to be my favorite @buttonshy.bsky.social
Last Lighthouse is on notice!

What's weird is I've played some of these, but couldn't off the top of my head name them all despite knowing 100% I've played them at meetups and what not lol. And two of them, I think, I played a different edition. I also don't see Numbsters here!

I'm not qualified. So I'll just give a like.

+1 for Soloboardgaming

I still can't get behind the "hold in hand" revolution. It never feels comfortable for me. Something like Numbsters works, but the secnod I have to tilt cards sideways, I tend to nope out. Feel like I'm missing out.

2024 was a good year for gaming in our house. (The hours played is inaccurate tho because I forgot to finish games in the app probably 40 or 50 times. A twelve our game of Azul is not a thing.)

A bit front loaded as I was still trying to get a game in a day for the first few months. Then I bought a house and moved… pretty sure a dozen or so sessions in the latter part of the year never got entered. A bit surprised that River City Glassworks was on top
