I love the museum of most things. Not sport, no time for sport (I don't understand it). I collect anything I want and try to display it rather than hide away.

Born in my grandparent's parlour.

Definitely ANTI FASCIST

“Both flight crews assumed the full runway length was available in their performance calculations and their respective take offs were conducted with less thrust than was needed for the reduced runway.”
Cause of two near misses at Melbourne airport revealed
A Malaysia Airlines A330, with 237 people on board, and a Bamboo Airways 787, with 212 people on board, both overran a shortened runway during take off, lifting off only metres above an active worksit...

Me husband is a keeper, he's a very busy man,
I try to understand him and I help him all I can,
But sometimes of an evening I feel a trifle dim,
All alone and plucking pheasants when I'd rather pluck with him.

Batteries are coming to Europe. Earlier this year Europe’s largest battery storage site went live at Blackhillock, Scotland.

The facility has a capacity of 300MW/600MWh.

Much larger batteries are under development: A huge 1 GW / 4 GWh system is being constructed in Jänschwalde, Germany.

@albomp.bsky.social is Prime Minister solely because the alternative was so appalling.

He needs to remember that.

He needs to be the best.

Being not as bad doesn't work with the electorate for very long.

The Yashica TL Electro X was quite an amazing camera. Full electronic shutter with a speed as long as 30 seconds.

The problem was it weighed a ton and holding it still at eye level was nigh on impossible.

I got to use one in the British Museum in 1973 without a tripod using Fujichrome 100.

Jacinta Price does a TACO. She also deleted her FB encouraging ppl to attend. This came after Ley’s decision to get her team in one room this Wednesday.
I suppose Price hadn’t the spine to face colleagues on the matter. Either way, her fringe dweller supporters won’t be happy.

I can't remember the year (1975 I think), but the UK had one olympic size swimming pool.

Australia had hundreds!
Every town, every suburb, even small country towns with 1000 people had an Olympic pool.
Did you know?

#Canada has approximately 2,860 indoor hockey rinks and over 5,000 outdoor hockey rinks. (7,860) total

#USA has approximately 2,101 indoor hockey rinks and 500 outdoor hockey rinks. (2,601) Total

In the 1980s my business was processing between 1200 and 2000 rolls a week (in non Christmas periods, during Dec and Jan - double it)

My first equipment was a Yokoyama King, it cost 245,000 Aus dollars all up. The power bill in 1984 was well over $A400 per month.

What an absolute cnut
The President wouldn't last five minutes as an air traffic controller, and after everything they've been through - and the way this administration has treated them from Day One - he has no business shitting on them now.
