Many Minds: Brains of a feather

This is an older episode, but is still helpful. Gee it's tough how little analogue computation is known, though. Here it's not even considered an option

Points developed here about AI and brains could be developed for understanding mammalian species that have diverged >80 million years ago: mouse and humans.
I'm all for neuroscience of all animals for that matter, but the divergence and specialization suggests we need nuance.

After an email asking for this episode, I am delighted to see it! A broader episode that also touches on how the pharmaceutical company relies on research funded by the NIH may be a great topic for @planetmoney.bsky.social

Really looking forward to giving this preprint a proper read. A new cohort of callosotomy patients is exciting. The application of interhemispheric functional-connectivity analysis, diffusion imaging and a radically new model of hemispheric interaction is very intriguing. #neuroskyance #splitbrain

Very interesting article on research connection brain shape to brain function. The paper sounds like it’s a bit above my understanding, so I’d love to hear if any #neuro folks have thoughts on this!

This is the most up-to-date and authoritative guide to transcranial focused ultrasound available. This method is rapidly becoming a key tool for investigating causal mechanisms in the human brain. It's development as a therapeutic device is the next frontier. #neuroskyance #neuroscience #brain 1/2

Great fun this week at BRIC Plymouth @bricplymouth.bsky.social as we begin collecting data on a combined fMRI/EEG/Theta-burst study of pre-SMA contributions to inhibitory processing with our MSc Human Neuroscience students. #neuroskyance #neuroscience #neuropsychology #brain #neuroimaging

Please amplify this important message from a scientist and person fighting cancer #NIH #cancer #neuroskyance
Many patients with stage 4 cancers, like myself, rely on clinical trials as our last hope for survival when our first, second, and third line treatments fail--and these treatments will eventially fail--these clinical trials are what we have left to try to survive.
