They are hitting low income disabled folks first. In the middle of the night to discourage rapid response. Spread word. 🫶

The number of deaths within 90 days of hemodialysis patients rose following the 2022 policy change. Behind the statistics are real lives, and important questions about how dialysis care is delivered.

Politics aside, I *might* feel bad about the closing of Amazon Fresh stores if they wanted me as a customer. But it quickly became clear they ONLY wanted upper middle class income shoppers. Their prices were slightly cheaper than Whole Foods, but not by much. (1)

Me, too. But middle income earners are left out in the cold, whereas 80% of Canadians received carbon rebates.

It's a huge medical experiment that wouldn't be ethical to conduct but we basically have a baseline population that is frozen somewhere as a middle income mid 20th century nation in terms of medicine and nutrition and you could do some insane comparative studies between them and South Koreans.

Lots of older people have old mortgages with low payments or are paid off. 20 years ago we were able to pay ours off in 15 years on a lower middle class income. Today you cant afford a modest 30 year mortgage without an income way over 100k

Thank you Governor Moore for working to make Maryland more affordable. We need widespread solar power - the subsidies to middle income homeowners are very helpful.

why not add a higher bracket to have the wealthiest contribute? there's a high tax on the wealthy from 33% to 40% of income. What of a continued increase of higher income.Like 2% more on over net worth exceeding 50million income? I does seem high but then why are the middle class too poor for homes?

Consumption IS a numbers game: a large, healthy, middle class with some disposable income is key for a strong economy... the kind of middle class exising in the US in the early to mid 70s. One flamboyant billionaire can buy a thousand cars, but how many can a billion middle class consumers buy?

For some Americans, healthcare premiums now exceed their mortgage, with middle-income families hit hardest as ACA subsidies expired 12/31. Typical bills rise 114% from an average of $888 to $1,904.

Democrats are a multi-racial coalition of different groups with different interests & priorities (socially conservative blacks and the LGBTQ community; low-income single women & upper middle class professionals), the GOP is about 85% white, Christian conservative.

This is really a bonker political chart.

Really feel like it was drawn by the type of people whose political understanding is fox news.

Leadership changes happen when the middle income (and upper income) brackets are affected. Yes, protests provide foundation, exposure and necessary work. But what scares government most is when the middle majority gets pissed off. We're getting to tipping points. And continued pressure is needed.

Not much direct concern for the consumer from the dollar, but it hurts importers (smaller companies).

Tariffs are a bigger issue, along with other policy problems like health care (ACA cuts), SNAP cuts, etc.

Larger tax refunds may help near term for middle/upper income households.

It’s a bump in GST payments for those low to middle income families who receive GST rebates but are having a hard time making ends meet due to rising costs. The reason for that is because they pay a disproportionate amount of their income on GST taxed items

The other issue affecting leaseholders is they are excluded (in practice) from most green energy schemes. Grants for home insulation or the boiler upgrade scheme end up being handouts to middle income homes with the poorest excluded and stuck paying higher energy bills.

How will your taxes change this year?

Most low- and middle-income households will either see little change or actually pay more, especially when accounting for tariffs.

The richest 1% of Americans alone will receive more in net tax cuts than the bottom 80% of Americans combined.

🇨🇦The GST credit proposed by the Lib Gov will help ease the high cost of living for lower & middle income Canadians.

The Globe newsletter reported "Andrew Scheer wasn’t wildly impressed with the credit, dismissing it as a “recycled Trudeau-era policy.”

BUT Cons ALWAYS say tax cuts are the answer!

Maybe homes in the top income brackets are going up in price. But I’m sure AF not seeing home prices go up in Middle Class Neighborhoods.

Would there be anyway of adjusting who qualifies, perhaps increasing the amount of a single person, as well as a double income? I think more middle class people are becoming poor. In Ontario alone, Ford has deliberately made it more expensive, look at rent alone

From the new ONE report on development finance. Picture is net grant and lending flows to low and lower middle income country governments plus other ODA by source (excludes FDI, equity, private loans).
