You've gotta laugh at the bit that says they prioritise projects "using bus boarding data".
I'd be willing to bet they mean myki data.
Given that most passengers don't bother to touch on or off, I'm not surprised Merri-bek Council thinks only 6 people per day use that bus stop.

I once tried reporting a similar stop, in Gaffney St North Coburg outside Hammerbarn. Below is the reply.

Won't bother reporting the one in Pascoe Vale South. I'm sure they know already. The issue is not whether they know, it's whether anyone cares enough to make these stops a priority.
Extract from a letter from Merri-bek Council to me in response to my complaint about lack of seat or shade at a bus stop in Gaffney St: The Merri-bek Council provides seating and shelter at a handful of bus stops each year via a bus stop improvement program. On 20 December 2024 Merri-bek Council officer inspected bus stop 40917 to assess the bus stop as a potential place for a seat or shelter. This review found the footpath near the bus stop is wide enough for a public seat. Your request to add a seat at this bus stop has been added to the Merri-bek Council bus stop improvement program. Merri-bek Council prioritises projects in the bus stop improvement program using bus boarding data. Busier bus stops get priority over less busy ones. Data provided by PTV shows that around 6 people per day use this bus stop as a place to wait and get on the bus. This is a ‘middle rank’ bus stop in the Merri-bek bus network and Merri-bek Council has several projects planned to improve facilities at busier bus stops. Unfortunately, this means could be several years Merri-bek is able to improve this bus stop under that program. Merri-bek Council continues to advocate for the Victorian Government to take a greater role in providing waiting facilities on our public transport and for additional funds to deliver more ‘bus stop improvement’ projects. We hope our ongoing advocacy program will deliver results that enable either PTV or Merri-bek Council to provide the changes you seek at this bus stop.

Some local Greens are good, I promise, but it’s variable. Yarra has at least one, haven’t seen how Crossland has voted but Wade is good. Merri-Bek generally seems good too. You should definitely contact the ones you’re not supporting to make it clear why as well!
