#liberationist
This is how it works. It's called ratf*ckery and I'm unfortunately too familiar with it, as an old socialist/gender-liberationist/anti-imperialist.

All hands on deck, now.

Miller literally said he wanted 2/3 of the US population GONE.

Fight with all you've got, or lose all you have to lose.
Along with the 1st Amendment, because now they claim you’re a domestic terrorist and your right to privacy is gone. Where the fvck is the ACLU? @aclu.org

As someone who is both into S&M and a radical believer in the liberationist power of sex and sexuality…

Thats it, thats all i have to say, this is the stupidest shit imaginable

My piece, “The Political Left and the Overlooked Power of Veganism: Toward a Marxist-Animal Liberationist Framework for Ecological Revolution” has just been published in the Animal Studies Journal. Read it here www.uowoajournals.org/asj/article/...
The Political Left and the Overlooked Power of Veganism: Toward a Marxist-Animal Liberationist Framework for Ecological Revolution
This paper critically examines the marginalisation of veganism within leftist or progressive political discourse, particularly through the lens of Marxist theory, in the context of the Anthropocene. W...

Anyway the Black Panthers were/are explicitly liberationist. Not tankies.

I'm not a mental health advocate. I'm a mad liberationist, which I see as of necessity to give myself & all mad people any chance of dignity in life we have.

This time it's the wider enslavement of classes and non humans that we need to abolish

It will go hand in hand with responding to the climate crisis

Liberationist as in liberty for *ALL* . Recognition that we still treat others animals and land abusively and the fight is not over till that ends

Im picking up the term liberationist over Leftist.

Using left i think is reductionist and makes an easier arguments for others to wield our language against us

The movements name should carry the mission into every space it is spoken

We are facing a second period of abolition reform

I've also always been a child liberationist, my kids were autonomously educated it's not really new to me, I'm just taking it a bit more seriously the more I think about how influential the collective collapse of hope and imagination has been in getting us where we are.

Still have no idea why he’s calling it ‘liberationist’, but it’s not like Vermeule can write worth a damn anyway
January 25, 2026 at 4:02 PM
Do you know what he means by liberationist? I am not familiar with all the far right intellectual terminology
January 25, 2026 at 9:23 AM
Vermeule understands ‘no borders’ in the context of no migrant being ‘illegal’ naturally leads to a principled philosophical anarchism (‘no gods, no kings, no masters’): freedom of movement and bodily autonomy is central to liberty. He sees this fundamental truth and is repulsed: he opposes liberty

Brought my notes for chapter 1 of How Fascism Works by Jason Stanley and started adding them to the Asynchronous Book Club server. This is the kind of stuff I’m thinking about and we can discuss.

Liberalism emerged in that time, and would largely become popular amongst merchants and low-born property owners, while leftism as a term came to refer to the more radical, "liberationist" ideologies that emerged at the same time.

Prior to transitioning, but after having obtained a degree in Women's Studies, i was told that, as a guy, i couldn't identify as 'feminist', only as 'pro-feminist'; that otherwise, it would be like me, as a white person, calling myself a 'black liberationist'. /2

Why not take a step back for a second and consider what we mean by the 'state'?
Until quite recently, they were rare. The exception rather than the rule.
And now, under industrialisation, 'nationalism' has become a highly toxic force, completely unidentifiable from defensible 'liberationist' origins

Any "child liberationist" who insists children can consent to sex with adults is NOT concerned with liberating children; that's a Trojan horse to normalize their own desire to rape children.

Promoting children having sex isn't liberation, it's exploitation. Children's liberation does not mean

I had a liberationist take: “What if Pokemon don’t want to be captured? What if they want to be free? Humans should just leave them alone to scamper through the forest and go train something else.”

[this isn't directed at anyone in particular]

I am (try to be) a radical fat liberationist. I am fat (obese by BMI!) and also have a lifetime history of Food Issues (never diagnosed and I don't think I'd ever have met any thresholds, but you know, low level ED behaviour)

It used to be a far-left position to say there was nothing liberationist about the American Revolution — that a bunch of racist landowners just wanted to impose their own tyranny with lower taxes — and now it feels like the mainstream US right position is “yes and that was good.”

I posted earlier that Ive become more assimilationist with regards to trans issues but I’ve had a lot of conflicting thoughts about it and what I’ve since figured out is that I'm assimilationist on trans issues but liberationist on women’s issues and I believe trans women are a class of women
