I'd focus on Star Wars as modern mythology. Myths teach values, culture, and morals. I'd clearly define the core values—politically, culturally and morally—and ensure all projects align with that vision. Star Wars should have a strong agenda beyond just fun spaceships, cool aliens, and laserswords.

Good thread, as a fan of swords, I tire of the constant whining from that crowd about how "unrealistic" the fights with laserswords that have different rules to real ones are.
Also, I knew Kylo couldn't be simply defeated as the big bad by the end because he'd already been overcome by Rey in TFA.

Almost ten years on, it’s amazing to me that the Reylo fights in the sequel trilogy are often discussed solely in terms of a scoreboard. Those scenes aren't about who has the higher power ranking - the focus is on their emotional states. Let’s look at the main fight in each film to illustrate.
