Rhodesian Ridgebacks waren de honden van Khoikhoi die in de buurt van Kaapstad woonden voor de VOC ze hadden verdreven.
Circa 100 geleden zijn de Rhodesian Ridgebacks geregistreerd als hondenras in Bulowayo, Rhodesia (nu Zimbabwe).

No, Alvin and Chewie just kind of mesmerize ppl whenever they want. The Hags powers are regulated in the sense of being taught within their ranks. Weird artifacts like Kirk's vase or the gem in my W.I.P. are just out there getting sold at pawn shops and antique stores.

The boundaries of what's magickally possible for my OCs who practice is the same as IRL, which there are different philosophies on.
Weird objects like the gem in my W.I.P. or the vase in Candle Jar hopefully deviate from magic X does magic X just enough to be a little inscrutable. #WorldBuilding

The setting moves around a lot but more of it takes place in areas that, if I understand right, went back and forth between the Cherokee and Muscogee, who are both descended from the Mississippians. Part of it's where a I've heard a lot of Tongva people are still there. #QueerPrompts

Exatamente! I've been to Goa + Brazil- it's quite evident. They started BEFORE+ went FAR LONGER than ppl seem to realize. They "pioneered" that kind of BRUTALITY,all over. One of my FAVORITE historical events is when these ppl ( KHOIKHOI) beat the sh** outta them+💀the "governor" of Goa

Yeah but it's up to interpretation which one it is, if it's a flashback it's not to events that involved the person having it. My last story Unclean Beasts had multiple such time travel dream sequences but they were clealy dreams. #QueerPrompts

I remembered a slur in the book where Heidi teaches Peter how to read with a terrifying poem. The slur is for the Khoikhoi, whose name I never learned for years.

Oui ! Ayant regardé moult docus animaliers + le Roi Lion je valide, par contre j'ai pas trouvé la prononciation du mot en khoïkhoï, juste pour voir si ça ressemble ou si y a un effet comique comme souvent :)

Gnou comme gnome ici :) (j'ai googlé l'étymologie : ce serait en khoikhoi, t'gnu = onomatopée du cri du gnou ? Je suis preneuse d'un audio du vrai phonème s'il existe, btw le cri du gnou ça c'est plus facile)
