Good news: after retrieving my Sim Card and WhatsApp account, I am now fully logged back in with my existing number. I apologize to anyone who received harassment during the hack.

@vodacomsa.bsky.social staff informed me that criminals tricked the company's AI, "Toby", to remotely steal my SIM card and gain access to my WhatsApp account. I did not consent for my account to be "retrieved" via an AI bot. Now, there is a block from conducting a SIM swap.
Very frustrating.
