OK here's my big ten post, forty page, catch up mega-thread with alt text for my work in progress #Comix #WebComics #MiniComics
One. A person with black hair in a black shirt and a cord necklace is driving late at night. Two. the driver from page one spots dirt Ike headlights in her rear view mirror then Gunnr the woods hag pulls up beside her points a gun and shouts "pull over". Three. The unnamed driver pulls over Gunnr the woods hag walks up to her car. Gunnr: Where is it? WHERE IS IT? This it? Huh? Driver: Yes. Gunnr: Now get out of the car. Four. Gunnr points a gun a the horrified driver and tells her "Get. Out. Of. The. Fucking. Car. Right. Now." Then the necklace Gunnr pulled off of the driver starts to glow and Gunnr's heart starts to beat loud and fast and she doubles over and pants and gasps for air as the other two hags look shocked while the driver fills with determination to live and speeds off into the dark.

And there's a early Christian apostle, an ancient coen or rabbi, a Levantine shaman wearing a horned ram fleece, some Egyptian style eyeliner and the robe from the Ten Commandments movie, a Reddit atheist with a fedora, trenchcoat, and katana, a manifestation guru in old fashioned western Orientalist attire with a turban, and a fantasy wizard with the pointed hat and long beard. They read and discuss bits from the Book of Psalms that interest them. Another page from Unclean Beasts. Emmanuel preaches from the flood story in Genesis and there's a panel with Jehovah in his robes with long fiery shaped beard and hair pulling a lightning bolt arrow in his rainbow bow.

The Ghouls folklore has them partially decended from man eating hominids who they identify with mythological beings like Grendel and Nosferatu.
The more religious among the Hags venerate boogeywomen like Kuchisake Onna and Bloody Mary in a manner similar to saints.

Fifty-four Still in the hotel room. Andre raises two of his fingers slightly and smiles in greeting and squints under the bright light of Haydens phone camera. Hayden: So...anyway...it's getting pretty late, we got a show tomorrow. OK, love you too, bye. The phone light goes off. Hayden: Goddammit, between her and this tour, when we get back...I just need to go somewhere, even just a cheap hotel, where nobody knows where I am and turn my phone off for a day or at least not couple of hours and, like, meditate and crank one out, I dunno, eat chicken soup and watch price is right, go for a run. Andre: Welp, day after tomorrow you can jerk off to Price is Right all you want. Hayden: Alright tonight man. Andre: Night. Hayden in under the covers looking at a photo of a swarming flock of birds against a bright slightly cloudy sky. Page Fifty-five Back at the Hags camp Gunnr to Thrud: Bum a light? Ditched your shadow? Gotta be careful with that, they get attached, 'specially if they know where you live. Two men sitting in a car one prays the other looks through binoculars. No, Alvin and Chewie just kind of mesmerize ppl whenever they want. The Hags powers are regulated in the sense of being taught within their ranks. Weird artifacts like Kirk's vase or the gem in my W.I.P. are just out there getting sold at pawn shops and antique stores.

I bought a ticket for the Fluke table lottery. As I've said even if I get a table I'm not going to make any promises on having this comic done in time to have them there but I would have my most recent finished one: Unclean Beasts as well as Fried Squash, Easter Sunday, Signal Tower, and Candle Jar

Page fifty-three Javion: See, I just got this gem from a resale shop. It's not from under the pyramids or anything. But it did remind me of...let me think how much of this story I should tell...there was this girl I was talking to and the instant I realized I was I deep it was like "pow" like a glitch in the Matrix. I won't go into what happened between us but what if that moment's not bullshit and delusion what if everything else is and sometimes we accidentally get a peak behind the curtains see the truth of people? Even if it fades that's got to mean something right? But yeah, long story short, I don't know. Maybe thinking about stuff like that subconsciously seeps into the work and affects people, I really don't know. There's a panel of a woman in a snuggly on her couch watching the interview on TV. Hayden and Andre are in a two bed hotel room with Rhys and Pete presumably in another. The lights are off and they're each in bed, Hayden is on his phone. Hayden: We're in the hotel now. We'll be back I town all tomorrow then we'll come home. Andre: Hayden...come to back to bed...we miss you. He says in falsetto. Hayde listens to his phone for a second and after a beat he says bemused "that's Andre doing a voice" and points the device front camera at andre. Fifty-four Still in the hotel room. Yeah, Alvin from Fried Squash, Signal Tower, and Unclean Beasts can sort of hypnotize people like that. It works less well on people who know him and know what he's doing.

Early drawing of Alvin causing a crowd to become feral and violent with his dancing and papipes. I'll describe him better in the next image because his face is partially covered here. Sticker of Alvin, he's a short hairy chested guy, I wouldn't say chubby but he's not wiry, some of the color choices I made here make him look white which yeah, I guess he probably is, my comix are black and white so some characters, like Alvin, don't have a canonical skin color. He's got a blunt nose, big eyes, and a satyrs eyebrows and he usually wears a chin beard to match. I've described his hair as like an overgrown Beach Boys cut. When he's performing on his panpipes he usually wears garlands of flowers as a crown necklace and on his wrists and ankles, the flowers he wears like a thong are presumably part of a garment. Alvin, this time in jean shorts, sneakers, and an unbuttoned shirt is asked by Emmanuel if he's been saved yet and proceeds to distract Emmanuel with a hypnotic tune as he thanks him for his help with a case and walks away. Alvin, still in his casual outfit but wearing the floral crown dances and plays for the Anarch who is affected but not hypnotized.

Does anyone know what the most trustworthy AI slop blocklist is? I use blocklists but I'm weirdly paranoid about being cut off from people who were put on them maliciously. I got most of mine early on from the anti-Alf whatever account.

Meanwhile Javion and an unnamed interviewer with wavy hair pulled back in a ponytail and a microphone clipped to their t-shirt stand in his studio. Javion: I create art installations; indoor, outdoor, sometimes whole environments that can involve, audio, video, optics, lighting and just whatever it ends up needing. There a conversation in Candle Jar that comes to the conclusion that a skeptical or scientific outlook is actually way more predeterminist and fatalistic than a spooky or witchy one.

The complicated answer is that changing my mind about the supernatural woukd require free will and free will can't exist I a naturalistic universe. Thoughts are just electricity moving around in the brain and electrons are governed by the same laws of physics as everything else. So either the supernatural exists...or it doesn't but it's not up to me whether I believe in it anyway. James: OK but there's believing in God or whatever and then there believing you can cast spells. Kirk: Every major religion believes in it, even the ones that forbid it...and theres stuff like faith healing but that's usually stage magic. There's even the theory that prehistoric art sites like the Lascaux cave and Gobekli Tepe were temples where the did magick. At the bottom of the page there are panels of Doctor Wode in a trance under the influence if her eldritch goddesses, Emmanuel praying, Alvin playing his panpipes, a bigfootess chewing herbs, and Mr. Betencourt lighting a seven African powers candle.
