Also wild that he has a (relatively) lengthy digression about the impropriety of Keith Olbermann being much older than Nuzzi... despite the fact that he is, himself, 20 years her senior!

I think there are lines of work where there probably *should* be fears of accusations. If your job is one that provides a lot of power over/access to vulnerable people, like teaching, it makes sense to have that concern and to behave in a way that mitigates even the appearance of impropriety.

The idea that a criminal can cast an air of impropriety on a prosecutor by announcing they did it in service of a corrupt official or political advantage simply does not pass a sanity check.

also weird how the NYT isn't really touching this one, I thought they were VERY interested in perceived impropriety from Harvard presidents

they weaponize accusations of impropriety and abuse and sexpestery because they know those accusations in particular have such a sting and stain attached to them that few people will ever side with the accused

their problem, however is they've made a habit of accusing random people of these things

Really a difference in the generations here cuz if I was laughing at a politician as they were dissecting my inconsistencies, they’d have me leave for impropriety.

Can I make a small prediction that sometime in the not so distant future credible accusations of sexual impropriety (or covering up for someone else) will start to surface about the dissenting congressman? Just a hunch…

Dems studiously trying to avoid even the appearance of impropriety, and Republicans staging a riot in a government building to stop the counting of votes and steal the election. Sounds familiar.

I spoke with @apnews.com reporter David Bauder about the impropriety of Michael Wolff compromising his independence and kibbitzing with a child molester like Jeffrey Epstein. apnews.com/article/trum...
How chummy is too chummy? Epstein emails shine light on relationships between journalists, sources
The emails to and from Jeffrey Epstein that were released this week shine a light on the relationship between reporters and their sources — and that light isn't always flattering.

Let's stay on this, Glenn. It stinks of impropriety.

Get Habba in Jersey while you're at it. Bove. Impropriety everywhere. Hell, use RICO like Giuliani did.

Highly recommend @sarahkendzior.bsky.social’s “They Knew: How a Culture of Conspiracy Keeps America Complacent”. She wrote it in 2022.
Reading Sarah’s work has prepared me for this moment, and I credit her with making me painfully in touch with reality.
Surprised her books haven’t been banned, tbh.

in two provinces.
And now we have the “Free Speech Union of Canada” whose Chair turns out to have had quite the friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, reportedly seeking advice from JE on how to deal with sexual impropriety allegations.
Both men apparently
remain at post as of the date hereof.

Anyone else remember when Biden gave a sarcastic remark to doocy & the WHCA melted down in cries of impropriety? I remember. Funny to keep having it rubbed in our faces how all the rules, norms, & standards only apply to democrats.

"Should we do this little impropriety that prevents a massive conflagration?"
November 16, 2025 at 4:56 PM
Yeah, there's "this circle tends to produce conflicts of interest and we rely on participants to follow sometimes burdensome regulations to avoid that causing impropriety" and then there is just ignoring all the rules and pretending that there's nothing to complain about at all.

I shouldn’t have to explain to you that in addition to it being completely and wholly unacceptable on its own, someone that easily swayed to act with impropriety shouldn’t have the nuke codes.

I always feel awkward about this stuff because it is sometimes unhelpful to the cause to let people equate homosexuality with some kind of impropriety.

But also, if I were to guess, probably

This is a 19-paragraph article to which 7 journalists contributed; it contains not a single hint that there is any impropriety in the President of the United States directing the Justice Department to investigate his political adversaries.

No one was willing to lose access to stand up and confront him. They just allow one of their peers to be verbally abused. No integrity. No courage.

Not even a follow up question asking if such impropriety and unprofessional behavior is becoming of a POTUS.

So the Mormon missionaries keep coming by and they have strict rules about being alone with someone of the opposite sex so there always has to be another man around. They don’t want any impropriety.
My bf asked them if there was a problem with being alone with the same sex, and they were like why?
