I've always wondered if there's anything significant that in the IAP2 commentaries, he abruptly disappears just before the Bond monologue in episode four. May have just had the dentist, or something. Even so, unusual on a commentary.

My work is specifically in partnering with patients in research. I really haven't found any sort of framework that I like and I think it's because most frameworks can't really account for the relationship-based nature of this work. I think IAP2 is a useful tool in some contexts, though!

Bad process correctly imo sees this decision overturned. But the commentary on the desirability of the speedbumps from both the law student & retired academic seem to me to be just slight overreach in the other direction: there's no right of community veto here, the problem is a non-genuine process.

My main memory of IAP2 the first time round was how depressing it was. But I think a lot of that is in the staging / lighting etc. The Bond bit works especially well as its the first time all the parts of his world combine. I dont know why they didnt do more than that.

Hipkins does not need to repeal the Planning Act nor the Natural Environment Act
He can do 3 simple things to restore equity
1) Allow for Betterment Levies
2) Remove rural sector primacy and replace it with City primacy
3) Entrench Maori Empowerment per the IAP2 model

They also received public engagement awards for Growing Together from IAP2, which is quite impressive. The public consultations really were comprehensive, with 3D models made and staff going directly *to* residents at community events and other locations. All in all, some great stuff happening here.
