I remember walking the North Downs Way. There were a lot of posh houses with massive grounds. Rich people. But they needed prison like walls and cameras to make them feel safe. Hardly worth being rich if you have to live like that. Their riches are just to stop them meeting us.

Despite the protestations of the construction companies to the contrary, it’s incredible how many fields in my wider area are being converted to housing.
All of which are 3, 4, 5 bedroom ‘executive’ houses. (Either that or solar farms).
Council tax Top Band which is why they get permission….

Made the mistake of doing a house search and filtering it on a max price just £15k more than I can afford and… all the photos are now of houses that look like houses inside rather than places to advertise floor and wall destruction techniques and how to arrange dirty laundry for a real estate photo.

जयपुर के चौमूं में मस्जिद के पास अतिक्रमण को लेकर हुए विवाद के बाद प्रशासन ने कड़ा एक्शन लेना शुरू कर दिया है। पुलिस ने 24 पत्थरबाजों के घरों पर नोटिस चस्पा कर तीन दिन में जवाब देने के लिए कहा था। नोटिस की मियाद 31 दिसंबर को पूरी हो गई। नगर परिषद की इससे पहले भास्कर टीम चौमूं की पठान कॉलोनी में पहुंची, जहां पर जगह-जगह दुकानों और घरों पर नोटिस चस्पा थे। अधिकांश घरों पर ताले लगे हुए थे। कुछ मकानों के दरवाजे खुले थे, लेकिन वहां मौजूद लोगों ने बात करने से मना कर दिया। कार्रवाई को लेकर एक पक्ष का कहना है कि गलत करने वालों पर कार्रवाई होनी चाहिए। जिन लोगों ने कुछ नहीं किया उन पर कार्रवाई नहीं होनी चाहिए।

Well, Spanish houses (ours, anyway) are built for hot hot summers, not winters. And the floor tiles help in summer, but less in winter! Still, we were sitting outside at a bar yesterday in warm sunshine, so I am not complaining!

There's a little disused slate quarry just up behind the houses open to the public and OH BOY there's some nice pieces in there, mostly too big to carry away but I did collect some. This piece was bought along with several other pieces at their shop.
