Making thumbnails really makes you FEEL that period in the 2000s when amazing hand drawn game promo art was replaced with ugly, awful 3D renders. Not only do they look crap but its' extremely rare to find hd versions of them unlike hd scans of hand drawn stuff

Thank you 🙏. It's a mix of a lot of things - cities, dungeons, ruins, shrines, mines, camps, etc. They're all real locations in the game that generate procedural detail when you visit the chunk. Caves of Qud style persistent world with really really basic hand drawn 16x16 sprite graphics

People mean well but OP’s avoidance behaviour is saying “not right now”

i know the popular thing in webcomics is to make your stuff look as polished as possible but i really like the hand-crafted touch... handwritten font/sfx, hand-painted speech bubbles, patterns drawn instead of copy+pasted. lots of cool little effects that show love and humanity in its creation

This is the third in our series explaining what is wrong with the SW laws in so-called Western Australia. The laws originated from Victorian England in the 19th century and then harsh police powers were added in the year 2000.

Hello bluesky! Been a while… keep forgetting I’m here. Have some rare HUMANS!! In order, these ocs are Narkissus, Kalypso and Diafora. They are all mine! Narkissus and Kalypso are typically drawn as stick figures. Diafora’s canonly drawn more humanoid but is a sort of void being.

This is one of those things where I've always wondered, "How did they get it to look like that?" You really do not see anything like this with more digitally-colored productions, it's quite a piece of that old hand-drawn aesthetic magic.

This style of light doesn't really appear in animation anymore. You know it when you see it -- it's bright, hot and almost dangerous.

I just met my cartooning hero, Craig Thompson, this evening. I got to thank him for saving my life by writing 'Blankets', which came out precisely when I needed it. He approved of my own attempt at a similar comic project. What a blessed confirmation.
