lol my dad celebrated his midlife crisis by buying an ‘80 in bright ice white. Solid move with three kids but I just hopped in the wayback and he cruised country blacktops at about 90 mph

The fact that Genius dot com gets this wrong bothers me more than it should:
the lyrics page for Jurassic 5's "The Influence" on Genius.com. The first verse reads, in part: Yo, I create off drum drops and ate away blacktops The line "ate away blacktops" is highlighted in yellow because it is WRONG.

Every time I see conservative fearmongering about how dangerous the NYC subway is, I feel the need to defend it. I grew up in Ohio. It’s cars that are dangerous. It’s car accidents that are terrifyingly common. I’m not being dramatic when I say the subway is one of the best parts of my life now.

maybe its the blacktops that are in mine but the versatility of the pickups plus the additional master vol/treble bleed are insane together.. not having the like super articulated or particularly girthy bottom end humbuckers tend to have it gives it a cool raspiness while downtuned kinda like a tele

A "highway" is a state-owned road. They can be rural two-lane blacktops, city arterial streets, or grade-separated freeways/expressways. Pedestrians do indeed cross "highways". "Highway" does not equal "freeway", yet many drivers seem to think they can drive homicidally because a road is a "highway"
