We visited the Barelas Senior Center to thank the volunteers who show up for our community every day, then joined partners at La Mesa Presbyterian Church as they served 1,600 hot meals to our homeless neighbors and families in need. Grateful for this kindness.

Today, I spent the lunch hour serving customers at Barelas and spoke with tipped workers and One Fair Wage about the need to make no tax on tips permanent and eliminate the tax deduction cap. These folks work hard to serve us, and we should do right by them.
