This year, seven of my bipartisan bills were signed into law. I also cosponsored more than 160 others and cast over 300 votes on the House floor. I don’t take any of that lightly. Every decision I make is guided by the people I represent.

This year, my team and I returned over $4 million to NM families and cut through red tape with Social Security, Medicare, the VA, and other federal agencies. We responded to more than 34,000 letters, held over 100 tours, and met with many constituents.

Today, we celebrate a great win for New Mexico. I’ve been fighting for reauthorization for Secure Rural Schools, which has an impact of more than $9 million for communities like Quemado, Reserve, and Silver City. This funding supports our teachers, counties, and maintains our roads.

We're in a housing affordability crisis, and I met with mobile home residents and advocates today in Albuquerque to talk about a path out of it. I introduced my Keep Mobile Homes Affordable Act to stand up against the predatory private equity firms targeting New Mexicans who live in mobile homes.

I just visited the South Valley Care Center to speak with residents, families and staff about what they’re facing as Republican cuts to Medicaid have started making their lives harder. All our seniors deserve to age with dignity and I am working so the policies coming out of Washington reflect that.

Holiday travel shouldn’t be a nightmare. I’m calling on DOT Secretary Duffy to restore rules that protect travelers and keep costs down, because if an airline delays or cancels your flight, you deserve fair compensation. It’s not rocket science.

El Caldito Soup Kitchen provides meals and services for the most vulnerable in the Las Cruces Community. This week, I helped prepare food and talked with volunteers and staff about the important work they do, and I’m committed to continue supporting the Community of Hope.

Over the weekend I had the chance to see old friends at Casa de Peregrinos, where we helped prep for the Thanksgiving rush by loading up turkeys for folks in Sunland Park and La Union. I’m grateful for this amazing organization and all they do to serve our community!

The administration slashed investments in energy, and now New Mexicans are bracing themselves for the cold winter months while their utility bills soar. Yesterday, I called on HHS to bring down utility prices immediately so hardworking folks aren’t left out in the cold.
