The protection of this place, its Porcupine caribou herd, and most importantly, the Gwich’in people, has always been historically bipartisan. This is foolish. The Arctic Refuge should not be for sale to the highest bidder.

We should be protecting these sacred lands, not paving them over. It’s time to stand with Alaska Native families and defend their right to live, hunt, and thrive on their ancestral land.

Reapproving this project puts corporate profits over people, carving through untouched wilderness, disrupting caribou migration, and endangering the food and traditions that sustain Indigenous communities.
