Dr. Sengel’s steady leadership and care for city employees bring people together to make a real difference.
For over 20 years, Chief Jaramillo has shown dedication and has prioritized public safety.

Thank you to the City Council for their thoughtful consideration.

This morning’s MLK Commemorative Breakfast was a powerful reminder that Dr. King’s work is not just history, it’s a call to action. Together, Albuquerque continues to carry that dream forward.

The City of Albuquerque has earned Platinum level distinction for its workplace practices and policies by Family Friendly New Mexico. This reinforces the City’s commitment to development through the opportunities employees are given to further their careers and education.

This morning families, students, faith leaders and neighbors came together to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The MLK March reminds us that progress is built when we march forward together - peacefully, purposefully, and with hope.

Congratulations to Ona Porter on her retirement ... really! Her guiding principle “don’t tell me no tell me how” will continue to inspire City Hall and beyond. And as Prosperity Works celebrates its 25th anniversary, thank you Ona for everything you’ve given to Albuquerque.

With snowy weather in the forecast tonight, we’re getting ready to keep Albuquerque safe and moving.

City crews are prepared to treat roads and respond as conditions change, and shelter beds are available for anyone who needs a safe place to get out of the cold.

As we enter these next four years, it’s important to do so with purpose and a clear sense of direction. Thank you to all of the faith leaders for joining us as we set out to work towards a better future for all our families together.

This incident raises serious questions and reflects a dangerous pattern that we are seeing across the country because of the president’s divisive policies. My prayers are with Nicole and her family. Albuquerque stands with you, Minneapolis.

Great Saturday for some hard-hitting football. It was nice to see the crowd come out for a the New Mexico Bowl, a 19-year tradition that’s still going strong!

It was a privilege to spend the afternoon recognizing my former Senate colleague and a true champion for Albuquerque, Dede Feldman.

Renaming the North Valley’s community center as the Dede Feldman Los Griegos Health & Social Services Center is fitting.

Proud moment for Albuquerque this weekend. Diego Pavia, a Volcano Vista High graduate, came oh-so-close to the Heisman while leading Vanderbilt on a historic run. And Abraham Perez captured the NABF boxing 🥊 belt with a TKO victory.
