#antidemocratic
2/12/26: "Marshall [Talking Points Memo] notes that those in this [Authoritarian Internt'l] world are not just antidemocratic.
They are constructing a private world, in which deals are done secretly w/out any democratic accountability,
mixing nt' interest, with individual financial interest."

Yup. Voter Suppression 101. Along with the "SAVE us from broads voting" Act and the seizure of the GA voting records they're making their antidemocratic intent obvious. And Grindr Mike will provide top cover. Sure the Supremely Corrupt Court has their back.

The fact any party would sue to stop something from going up for voters' decision is the most antidemocratic shit ever.
The Virginia Supreme Court has ruled that the state can put a redistricting plan on the ballot this spring that could add as many as four more Democratic seats in Congress.

The referendum will take place on April 21.

I'm currently reading "Antidemocratic," a book by @davedaley.bsky.social which blows the doors off any notion that Chief Justice Roberts isn't an idiot or an unprincipled bigot, certainly IS the WORST Chief justice ever! READ IT!

It’s antidemocratic the south was concerned about the north dominating so they put in the silly system

The world may ridicule Trump, but with him gone, the U.S. still has 70 million ignorant, immoral, antidemocratic assholes. Associating with that is a no go for me…so probably is for them too.
Governor Gavin Newsom addressed world leaders attending the Munich Security Conference. He told them to imagine a world without Donald Trump. 'I hope if there is nothing else I communicate today: Donald Trump is temporary. He'll be gone in three years.' 'Call this guy out' Newsome says...

This is why I believe Republicans are antidemocratic. Reps in Ohio passed a law that allows the Secretary of State to throw people off the voting rolls without notification up to days before an election. They can remove you if they "suspect" you're here illegally. No trial. No right to be heard.

US is a contagious zombie democracy no matter what this guy says. In Europe we must confront the dark right with their antidemocratic tendencies: undermining institutions, dumbing down the public discourse, openly lying the achieve their agenda. When freedom is gone they will not give it back.

George Galloway is an all-time classic Russian Asset. Antidemocratic to the bone.

You can fight Reform without talking about their ties to the global antidemocratic project. You can’t do that without saying “look what Trump is doing in the US”.

Antidemocratic shit crazy
Vaguely recall how Biden admin emails to Twitter were the biggest attack on free speech ever. There was a whole twitter files thing about that.

Curious where are Elon, Taibbi, Bari and crew on this?
New story up on the Homeland Security Department’s new tactic: flood social media companies with subpoenas to unmask anonymous accounts that criticize ICE or monitor the movements of ICE agents.

I think they should nuke the filibuster regardless of party. It was always ridiculous and always a middle finger to the will of the people. Yet another antidemocratic piece of bullshit. Also, as much as I hate the SAVE act, it will backfire spectacularly on the Rs. Disenfranchises rural voters.

(2/5) Josh writes that a growing, interconnected global junta isn’t just ideologically antidemocratic, but aiming to build a universe completely separate, private, and unaccountable where kompromat keeps scales (among this elite) relatively even.

#DarthGabbard's presence for the FBI's Fulton County raid isn't even the most suspicious fact. John Roberts's role in fucking up our elections is barely touched here. Read "Antidemocratic:" by @davedaley.bsky.social for a fuller understanding of the extent of it!

The electoral college exists as an antidemocratic institution, sure, and a lot of it depends on the state in which the voter is residing. But popular vote matters as a proxy for general support so yeah, it matters. You just are in your feelings about not having your preferred option on the ballot

I liken it to a loyalty oath, which is both bizarre and antidemocratic given there hasn't even been a primary yet and people are acting like he's the prophecized king.
I actually think it’s a good thing to not preemptively swear you’ll vote for Gavin Newsome before he’s the candidate
February 13, 2026 at 3:27 PM
As an immigrant to the US the primary system is bewildering to me. The votes of people in early states have the power to shape narratives and force candidates to drop out -- power that people in later voting states don't have! It's wildly antidemocratic!
February 13, 2026 at 3:24 PM
Republicans are just so damn unAmerican and antidemocratic!

He should still be in prison for attempting to deny an entire state their Right to be heard, and ultimately trying to overturn a national presidential election!

How tf is he not in prison yet?!!
And the others involved too!
