Apparently! If you look at the top posts for #wippit you will see a very dramatic difference between the top two posts in terms of overall engagement. I think based on quality of the pitch, the only way to explain the difference is buying bot likes

But also! I think pitch event burnout is growing increasingly common on this platform. We had a *lot* of them this year, sometimes back to back. I know I'm taking a break because it's a lot, and I'd rather focus on drafting. 🫠

It's nighttime on Trinity Street in Cambridge, UK, and the sky is cloudless. In the middle of the street, a circular portal opens onto a field of ferns, planted in rows, with a partially cloudy sky. This depicts a scene from The Dragonblood, although some artistic license has been taken, as the scene as written takes place in a dark alley off the beaten path, rather than a major street, but I wanted it to be at least somewhat recognisable as Cambridge. The portal is also described to warp the image of what's behind, but I simply drew the portal as overlaid on the background and fading at the edges. Made in Krita. Station 14, an ERSSHO (Enormous Rotational Space Station in Heliocentric Orbit), and one of 126 making up the ALCEFS. The cylindrical space station has one of its flat faces pointed at the Sun, which if shown, would be covered in solar panels. I just need somewhere to sleep.” “You got kicked out of home?” Skylar asked. “Why not stay at the temporary shelter?” After all, it’s there for people who need a place to stay while they apply for a new home. “That’s where I was staying for the past two months,” Nelly replied. “That is, until I got into an argument with someone there and, well, we agreed to put some distance between us.” “Two months?!” Skylar repeated, shocked. “It doesn’t take that long to get a home approved.” A couple days, at most. Usually they have it done the same day. “For a supplementary home loan?” Nellie remarked. “Apparently it does.” “Supplementary?” Skylar asked. “What about primary?” If you were entirely without a home, Skylar couldn’t imagine any reason you’d apply for a loan instead of permanent housing. “Oh, I didn’t apply,” Nelly admitted. “Why not?” Skylar pursued. “If I did, I wouldn’t be able to get…” Nelly started. “It was part of the deal, okay?” “A deal? You mean someone bribed you to leave your home?” “No, it’s not like – Okay, it is that. But –” Nelly took a deep breath. “You know Kye Peterson?”

She looks down and stares at something in astonishment, but I can’t tell what. With a pained expression in his eyes, the doctor picks up the gun from the table. I hear the muffled pow of a gunshot as he turns around and shoots Gem in the chest. She sits there in confusion for a moment or two, unmoving and bleeding out. My vision is very blurry now, and I feel on the brink of death. I try to think through the brain fog. If I’m going to die, then so be it, but I won’t just lie here while this psycho doctor shoots people. Adrenaline now coursing through my body, I rip out the tube attached to my arm. Gem slowly turns to lie face down on the bed right beside me. I reach for her, but my arm seems to pass right through her and I roll over onto my stomach. For a moment I wonder if she vanished, but no, she’s just on the other side of me. I painfully push myself up and reposition myself to be sitting on the side of the bed. I stare as the pool of blood from where she was shot trickles upward towards me, towards the wound in my chest. What is going on? The doctor sets something down that emits a dim glow, and points the gun at me. I hear a whap as something tugs me forward. I feel searing pain for a moment, and then nothing. The blood on my chest is gone and even my dress looks intact. How – ?
